Finally finished it!  I frogged the sleeves and put some ribbing there instead.  I. Love. This. Sweater.  It's roomy and comfy, two qualitites that are important when you're six months pregnant, like I am.  My mom is having total sweater envy, too.  She said she'll buy the yarn if I'll knit one for her (without the belly increases, though).

I'm glad I'm done it, though.

Finished!  It was a very challenging pattern, but look how pretty it is!

This time of year it gets hard to like the climate around here.  I want warmth! And colors! Man. I hate Febuary.

After ripping out row 38 4 times (and learning the value of a life line), I had a tantrum at 1:30 am and decided to leave it until I was rested.  My stitch count kept coming out wrong; I actually cried, that's the fun of pregnancy hormones.  So this morning I followed her tutorial for row 38 http://smariek.blogspot.com/2007/02/heart-lace-row-38-walk-through.html  and... all 39 stitches!  Yay!  I am victorious!

I was actually working on this hat when my mom asked how come I never made her a hat.  She said these colors would be perfect for her, and actually the maroon was sort of her favorite color.  I just said, uh...  Because i didn't want her to know this hat was for her, and the colors were picked specifically for her.  Anyway, she loved it.  It's just a generic slouchy hat, and the yarn is Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran:



Also, we joke that she doen't really like an accessory until she's lost it at least once, and she's lost this twice!  Success!

Everyone's stash is making me jealous.  I'm actually getting low on the dishcloth yarn!  And I promised I wouldn't buy more yarn until I'd destashed quite a bit, so no yarn for a while
WCX: I can't wait to see your heart cloth.  i think that pattern is pretty, but I find it intimidating.  So, actually, maybe I'll try it...

modified feather and fan... totally love this!  Basically you eliminate the garter ridge, so the lace row is on a st. st. background.  I'll find the link to this pattern and post it if anyone is interested.

The color is off in this picture, it's more of a light purple.  i love the texture.

Mooshie: a lot of the patterns are the same.  I've got a list of ones I didn't get aroud to last year that I'm going to do this year.

This is the blanket i just finished for my son.  I posted at the beginning of this thread about using this kind of yarn- super bulky- because I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but it looks great!  I didn't start it then, I started it like a week ago, and it took only three nights to finish.  It's Red Heart Baby Clouds in Sky Blue, Cloud, and a varigated blue.  Brody loves it; that's him laying on the side of it.

I made this round ripple for my son.  Took about three days total. 

He wouldn't get off it so I could take a picture, but I think it shows the scale.

It's 46-ish inches across, from peak to valley.  Done in Baby Clouds Sky Blue, Snow, and a veriagated blue.  Brody loves it, and I'm pretty much done with my Baby Clouds stash... which means I need more!

I made this blanket for my neice's first birthday, back in October.  I actually cast on for this around Christmas '06, and it took me until her birthday to finish it.  i just found it tedious, and I had wanted to make it bigger, but I just got sick of it.
