1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I shot her down...bang bang on: July 04, 2008 09:14:20 AM
I've newly discovered the wonder that is shrinky dinks.
I made a few pendants for my sisters which I forgot to take pictures of, however here is the one I made for myself!

Sadly it snapped, so I think another shrinking day is needed for a nice new one.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I'm the Hitcher, let me put you in the picture! on: April 17, 2008 02:20:55 AM
My first attempt at needlework. Well, since a few cross stitches when I was a wee little girl!
Made as part of a Mighty Boosh swap.

Is this lovely chap 'The Hitcher'.

Was a bit of an experiment as I did a lot of it freehand!  Undecided

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Boosh it up baby! on: April 17, 2008 01:34:31 AM
A few months back I was part of The Mighty Boosh swap (possibly the greatest tv show known to man).
Thought I would share a few things that i put together for my little package.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Interior design links? on: June 10, 2007 03:11:30 AM
Hey all!
I am currently doing an assignment based on opening up a bar/venue (and maybe one day for real!)

I want the style to be cosy but funky - vintage bits and pieces, mismatched furniture, lamps - a little 70s inspired!
Anyone know of some good interior decorating sites for inspiration?

Thanks!
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Nouveau inspired stencil on: May 16, 2007 05:16:33 AM
Found a lovely sketch just on google.
Stencilled it for mother, for mother's day of course!
Didn't quite turn out as well as I wanted, but that's what you get for leaving it to the last minute!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Clock makeover on: May 08, 2007 09:24:39 PM
A boring clock, some scraps lying around =

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Boring Walls be gone! on: May 08, 2007 08:46:26 PM
You know the story - boring white walls, but renting!  Undecided
A couple of ways I have jazzed up my bedroom that I thought I would share.

Rastorbate!
The Doors chilling out backstage.

An awesome scarf/wrap thing I found at an op shop. Yes, held up by sticky tape. Scotch magic tape is great!

A dress I spotted, again from an op shop. I just think it's too gorgeous to stay in the wardrobe.
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / canvas chrissie pressies! on: December 29, 2006 09:36:01 AM
Hadn't got the exacto knife out for a while, but decided to make a few stencils as gifts.
Have done a few shirts, but thought I would give canvas a go.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs for a friend

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Trashy & Tragic Party Help! on: June 12, 2006 05:08:34 AM
So I turn 21 this year. Party is in 3 months but I'm planning already. Yes, I'm a little excited.  Cheesy

I wanted a theme that would be fun and you are able to dress up for, so have come up with Trashy & Tragic.
My inspiration? Kath & Kim!

Basically dress up as a trashy or tragic celeb (I'm thinking along the lines of Paris Hilton, Courtney Love, Peter Andre...) or trashy/tragic in general!
I've been trying to think of some horrible fashion trends from the past (eg parachute pants, frizzy permed hair) to incorporate into the invitation to give guests some ideas for costumes, but am needing your help!

Also if you have any ideas to give my backyard a more trashy/tragic atmosphere, it would be much appreciated!
10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Dave Grohl and Bling Bling?? on: March 20, 2006 01:27:05 AM
So I recently had a 'Bling Bling' themed party that I went to.
When I heard the theme I immediately thought of a crazy quote from Dave Grohl so thought I would try my hand at stenciling
