1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / LIGHT BLUE SCARF WITH FABRIC BACKING!!!!! on: December 19, 2006 01:26:24 AM
i knitted this scarf in record time, but didn't like how in the end the sides rolled in, i knew that it would look like that in the end, but anticipated liking it that way, boy was i wrong... so i had to come up with something to decrease the rolling, thus sewing on a fabric to the back.  there is a little less rolling, but i like it a lot just the way it is, super simple with a little flair, tell me what you think!!!!!-marina

how i like to wear it.

different way of wearing it...

augh.. don't like this pic, but it shows the scarf well.. Wink

and lastly a close up of the details...
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / I MAKE A CUTE DINOSAUR I MUST SAY!!! on: November 01, 2006 11:07:13 PM
i am in love with this costume soooooooooooo much! i was a "sexy" police woman, but it wasn't working for me, so i decided to get crafty at the last minute and make my costume... a dinosaur!! i give complete props to hobaker who inspired me and gave me motivation to finish the costume one day before halloween, so she rocks!!!  i've decided that i do cute waaaaaaaaay better then  i do sexy, which is just fine with me, enjoy!

i used an old bathrobe as the bulk of the costume, and just cut it up, so it was more formfitting.  from the extra scraps, i made the shoe coverings, and i had the white fabric in my room for the stomach and the talons and the spikes.  I stuffed the spikes and tail with tissue , and the headband is the part of the robe that you tie around your waist.  let's just say that the material was not the best to work with, because i got green fuzz EVERYWHERE.  but doesn't matter because this is the best costume i've ever had, IT"S A KEEPER!!!!!! it held up to the mean streets of castro, so i couldn't possibly never use it again!  enjoy!

the homemade feet!! i loved these!

the whole ensemble!!

with my buddy chris, too bad you can't see the tail, it was being difficult...
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / POLICE WOMAN COSTUME, HELP!!!! on: October 27, 2006 04:21:53 PM
i'm making my costume for the first time this year, and i haven't started yet Sad i'm planning on being a police woman, and i'm going to be making a pencil skirt and then reconstructing a dark blue men's button up, not made by myself but included is a wide black belt, heels, aviator sunglasses, and of course, handcuffs.  the only thing that i am having trouble with is the hat.  i want it to look really good, because i think that this will make the outfit! since i'm making a lot of it, i want it to look really good, or else i'll look stupid! HELP!!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / RED AND HEART PRINT PURSE!!! on: September 23, 2006 09:21:30 PM
I got the idea for this purse from someone calls their version the "apple bag", so i give complete credit of the design to her,THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA!! SORRY I CAN'T REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE! i really like this bag, because it has two outside pockets, one big pocket on the back and is really roomy, plus the fact that it has the cutest heart print fabric, it took me a really long time to make and one broken needle, which freaked me out because my machine made a really scary beeping noise, and i thought i broke it...tell me what you think!

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / COLLEGE DORM ART!!! ALL TOGETHER NOW!! UPDATE #4!!!!!!!!! on: September 11, 2006 09:01:04 PM
MORE COMING SOON, I PROMISE!!!
*ahahaha, i'm an idiot, i just replied to everyones nice comments, and said i hadn't done any in a while, when in fact i had, just COMPLETELY slipped my mind... hmmmmm... i must be stressed... anyways, enjoy, and i'll try to squeeze a few more in.... Smiley

I moved into the dorms a few weeks ago, and the walls couldn't be any whiter, so i had to do something crafty to brighten up the room.  so i tried to think of something interesting to put on the walls, so i came up with these binder size sheets of paper with random doodles on them.  my goal is that by the end of the school year, the whole wall would be filled up, how awesome would that be? much better than wallpaper, yeah?? tell me what you think...

sorry they aren't too bright, but for some reason, the dorms here have no central lighting in any of the rooms, can anyone say weird??

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / BLUE ALMOST LEATHER BUT NOT REALLY (VINYL...) PURSE!!! on: August 26, 2006 11:01:27 PM
I just moved into my dorm, and i am bored out of my mind, so i decided to finally show off my purse, this baby took forever, it's made out of vinyl, which is super hard to sew with, but my favorite part are the rings, which i found at the hardware store for super cheap, i like that it's blue, and has the look of leather, but really isn't, tell me what you think!!

On me, with my favorite sweatshirt in the world, GO HUSKERS!!!

I also had to show off my neat room, because me and my parents put it together in record time! imagine TWO car loads of crap somehow crammed into this room!!!! See if you can spot my fabric...

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / SILKY FLOWER TOP!!!!! first post EVER! on: August 04, 2006 09:11:52 PM
This is my first real shirt, with SLEEVES!! i'm quite proud of this, it is a huge accomplishment for me, seeing that i only made one mistake that could be fixed.  I never fail to make at least one mistake on a project, especially for this one, i was on a roll, and when it came time to put the sleeves in, i put them in INSIDE OUT, i should of known my good luck would run short, oh well, here it is in all its glory, tell me what you think.

my bra is showing slightly, dang this top is low cut, only slightly scandalous...
