I am the world's biggest procrastinator! I have a baby shower coming up on Wednesday (that gives me 3 nights/days to work on something) and I wanted to make the couple something special....any ideas for a quick and easy baby gift? I am not patient enough to try to whip up anything tooo involved...so the simpler the better at this point. *I have 7oz of Patons Melody Quick and Cozy.
I am stumped. I am trying to make something for my neice and I only have 2 weeks to do it. Fun hats, scarves, mittens. I have books and have done some internet searches but am having trouble finding items in her size (she's a 3T) since everything is usually geared toward newborn/toddlers and schoolage kids. Suggestions on dimensions for scarves and hats would be great...or just some ideas. Thanks!
Here is a modified version of SnB One hour booties. I think it would look better if I made the bootie bigger next time and I am definitely trimming the annoying "fun" fur, but I had a lot of fun with this!!
Ugh....how long does it take (on average) everyone to make a scarf?? I am making an irish hiking scarf on size 10.5(US) needles w/ Lion Brand Woolease. This is a PAIN IN THE NECK!!! So far it's been on and off for about 10 hours and I only have about 15 inches. Am I just abnormally slow??? I am tempted to undo it and just make a chunky ribbed pattern. OH, and did I mention it needs to be done by Saturday???
I am making the infamous pinwheel baby blanket and have started out on dpns and want to know the best way to transfer the stitches to circular needles without ruining everything. I did it once and just slipped the stitches onto the circulars and I am pretty sure that was wrong (I couldn't even transfer the last few stitches, they were so far away). Any help would be great!!
I know the cast-on is not counted in the row count....but what about bind-off? I am making up my own pattern and using different colors and want the first row to be the same width of the last row (Hence needing to know about whether to count bind-off as a row in itself or not). Thanks a bunch!
So I finally found my school colors at the yarn store, but I am not sure what to make with it. The colors are garnet and gold (Florida State)...Has anyone else honored their alma mater with knitting? I am up for any suggestions and pictures!! Thanks!! (Go NOLES!)
Hi! Well I found a good deal on some Lion's Brand Watercolors soft boucle yarn....I started to make a scarf but got bored with it VERY quick and took it apart. Any ideas of what to do with this? I really like it....and don't want to be bored. Here's a picture of it....
