1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Funky Chunky Baby Hat on: November 23, 2009 08:36:26 PM
I might try again. I have had to frog this project twice and am getting increasingly frustrated with it. A total of six hours into it because I am too lazy to check my gauge....I have learned my lesson. I think I will try the circular....the flat didn't work out for me. I am not casting on enough....the last attempt the hat was the size of a puppy yorkie's head.

I need to make a hat for a baby shower by Thursday. Can anyone help me decipher how to make this hat?

Thanks so much!! I know my future neice/nephew will love it!

also if this helps...I hold my yarn in my right hand when I knit. I have found a few videos on youtube to help demonstrate this pattern, but I just can't get the P2tog, do not slip sts of the needle and p1st st then slip both off the needle. Very confusing to me.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Quick baby shower gift on: October 14, 2007 02:11:26 PM
I am the world's biggest procrastinator! I have a baby shower coming up on Wednesday (that gives me 3 nights/days to work on something) and I wanted to make the couple something special....any ideas for a quick and easy baby gift? I am not patient enough to try to whip up anything tooo involved...so the simpler the better at this point.  *I have 7oz of Patons Melody Quick and Cozy.

thank you! I didn't even think about a poncho, but I think she would love it...and that tutu is adorable!! Very princess-y which she is for sure!

I am stumped. I am trying to make something for my neice and I only have 2 weeks to do it. Fun hats, scarves, mittens. I have books and have done some internet searches but am having trouble finding items in her size (she's a 3T) since everything is usually geared toward newborn/toddlers and schoolage kids. Suggestions on dimensions for scarves and hats would be great...or just some ideas. Thanks!

Here is a modified version of SnB One hour booties. I think it would look better if I made the bootie bigger next time and I am definitely trimming the annoying "fun" fur, but I had a lot of fun with this!!

OK this is it. I went ahead and pulled it all out Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Now it's a rib on bigger needles. Not the WOW effect I was going for but at least it will get done on time!
