41  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Enki Bilal Toilet Bag on: March 05, 2008 08:51:23 AM
I thought my friend needed a new toilet bag for his birthday so I made him one inspired by some drawing by Enki Bilal (a famous cartoonist)

Enki Bilal toilet bag by cicilem, on Flickr
I just took measurements on my own toilet bag (store bought), but I don't recommend this method since the biais binding was hard to sew.

Thanks for looking !

47  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: French Party on: May 03, 2006 10:11:04 AM
Well, I can give you a totally traditionnal receipe for crepes (..I'm french)  Wink

For 15 crepes :
Put in a bowl, 350g of flour, 750 mL of cold milk.
Add 3 eggs and a little salt.
Mix. And wait 30 minutes before use.

We usually eat crepes with Nutella, jam (strawberry etc.) or simply some sugar.
We also eat it with salted things : ham & cream & cheese, smoked salmon & cream.
My favourites are : mushromms & cream.

Sometimes, my friends  & I have "crepes parties". Every guest brings an ingredient with him.
And every one puts what he wants in his crepes : that's fun !
48  EUROPE / FRANCE / Re: Paris stores to visit? (Les magasins a visiter a Paris?) on: March 05, 2006 03:44:37 AM
There are some nice yarn shops in Paris, these are my favourites :
- la droguerie, 9 rue Jour 75001 Paris. Yarns (beautiful colours!), beads, ribbons, buttons... are sold in that trendy shop.
- Anny Blatt, 40 rue des Francs Bourgeois 75003 Paris. The yarns are sophisticated (and a bit expensive!)
- Entre des Fournisseurs, 8 rue des Francs Bourgeois 75003 PARIS. There, you can find rowan yarns, nice books about knitting, really nice buttons...

Sorry for my bad english.

Have a nice stay in Paris !
PS : there are metros everywhere in Paris  Wink
