I love them! My son would love the stormtrooper one, he's a Star Wars fanatic! I definitely have to make some of these! Thanks for the link!

I would love to have a shirt like that!
113  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Star Wars pants for my baby (he's actually 5) on: August 23, 2007 06:32:56 AM
We found some cool Star Wars fabric at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago, then I found an easy pattern at WalMart and thought I'd give it a try. This is my first sewing project with a pattern, only my second sewing project ever! I'm loving it and having so much fun! I also cut out one of the darth vaders and sewed it onto a t from one of the craft stores. I made them Tue and he's been wearing them since.
114  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first sewing project on: August 23, 2007 06:23:29 AM
This is the first thing that I have ever sewn, other than just mending stuff. I took 2 shirts, one was an XL gray tshirt from express that didn't fit my husband anymore and the other was an orange t shirt size  youth's L from the thrift store. The orange one had a print on the front that said "Lost sister and dog, reward for dog" really cute but I liked the print on the gray one better and thought the orange looked good with it. I had to take it apart a few times but I finally got it. Sorry, I don't have any before photos. I actually cut them up months ago and couldn't figure out what to do with them but I found some inspiration on this site. Thanks!
Anyway enough of my ramblings, here it is. Comments, criticisms, suggestions appreciated!

I love it! I wish I had seen this when I was pregnant with my DS, he's 8 months old now. I will have to put this in my favorites for next time!
117  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / snack tray on: August 06, 2007 05:59:54 PM
My son and I took one of our old stained cookie sheets and covered it in candy and snack wrappers. I covered it with a few coats of mod podge but I think I need to use a different type of sealant on it. I will probably paint the sides and bottom on it later.
DS loved collecting all the wrappers, it took him a few months to save enough.

118  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Eco Happy Grocery Totes! on: July 24, 2007 06:11:15 AM
I love the octopus! I've been wanting to switch to canvas bags and have used them in the past, but my hubby does most of the shopping and probably would "forget" to take them. I need to come up with some designs that he would use.

Thank you!
I cut a swatch of a receiving blanket and handstitched it together around the back. I used straight pins to attach the hat and bracelet to the background and hot glue for the medallion and I think I used double sided tape for the pic. the socks are just sandwiched between the back and the glass, I'm glad I saved the little plastic form that they came with (and my DH makes fun of me for saving everything.... ok so I go a little overboard sometimes but as you can see you never know when you might need it!)And the card is just sitting on the bottom.
