11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Punk skirt from husbands t-shirts on: March 23, 2013 02:59:37 PM
I love it! I have been wanting to make one from my hubby's shirts but can't make up my mind on the color combos/style. I could always make a couple..
12  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Baby sleep sack from fleece pullover and pajama pants on: October 23, 2012 01:39:46 PM
I have a one month old baby boy and I just realized he only has one sleep sack, since it is getting pretty cold here I made him another one so I can have one to use while the other one is being washed. I used an old fleece pullover and a pair of fleece pajama pants that my dad had made for my hubby but they are too small for him and too big for me. I just traced the outline of the sleeper we had with a Bic marker on the wrong side of the fabric. I also had the zipper that I kept from an old small bag I threw out. It took me about 3 hours this afternoon as I had 3 other boys running around the house and my hubby was out running errands.

The shirt

The pants

Action shot!

Of course shortly after this photo was taken it's in the wash already!
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Jar of Whimsies Rd 11 on: August 02, 2012 10:58:27 AM
I've got pics, finally! Sorry it's taking me so long but here is my package from geekgirl1000100!
She included polyfill as packing material!

Pretty container and a nice tea tin (tea included)

Lots of awesome whimsies!

My favorites! A bookmark (the background is book pages), pretty fabric squares, a cute fat cat and a little chick, some pretty beads, a cool looking die, the little mouse and sunflower are buttons, a snowflake, a wooden flower and the tea tin.

AND of course:
Awesome quilled magnets!

Awesome stuff! I love the pig on the lid! I have one more handmade item to make, although I think I made more than the required but not by much. Have had so much fun!

I absolutely love this! I wonder if my 10 year old son would be as amused? If I let him do it all on his own? We moved about 6 monts ago and still have some boxes we need to unpack, maybe we will do this... at least with my younger 2. I wonder if we have one my size?!

While I love cool crafty gadgets and supplies, all you need is a cardboard box...

I always love how when you buy them a brand new toy, the box entertains them longer!

This was perfect timing as I just finished the matchbox swap! I did the last JOW swap (which was my first swap ever) and loved it. I currently live in a tourist city in Germany and love going shopping in the souvenir shops downtown and am so excited to get to buy more of the little trinkets I always see!
20  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: collection of cardboard quaker oats canisters on: June 17, 2012 04:42:44 AM
I decoupaged one and put a few extra rolls of toilet paper in it for our bathroom.
