1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Baking Isn't... (NSFW: language) on: April 02, 2010 01:38:23 PM
You're the best mom ever!

I remember in Home Ec we had the school's best football player in our class. He loved every minute of it: all the girls, getting to eat, and I remember specifically how much he loved giving himself a manicure, complete with the buffer that made his nails shiny.

Once he's in college, if he can cook, he'll have girls chasing after him Smiley I hope I marry someone who can cook!

These are gorgeous. I love monograms too! I have a monogrammed hankie that I did and I love to just look at it and adore it! I need to do more! I might check out that book. There's a book that I found at Barnes and Noble one day called The Encyclopedia of Monograms and I was so close to buying it, but for some reason I didn't. I always wish I had!

They are done! I was about to ask my mom to take pics of them for me, but then I remembered that my camera cord is in another city, so pics will have to come later Sad

But I love them! They were more time-consuming than I expected, but I do see myself making more in the future!

No pictures yet as they need one last finishing touch, but they are basically done! I am so impressed with myself. They took a while longer than I thought, but I am very happy with them. I think they look professional, with all my pressing and whatnot! I'm wearing them now and they are quite comfy! I'll post pics tomorrow!

Thanks for the input! I'm 5'6 so maybe they won't look to crazy! They're for wearing inside, anyway, so if they are gimungous it won't really matter!

If you are that tall, they will look very glamorous.  I am barely 5 foot, so know that I am JEALOUS!   Wink

How very sweet of you! I hope they look glamourous. The fabric I picked out says "5-year-old" rather than glamour, but you know, I can have the crazy pair and the glamourous pair! I'm sure I'll end up with multiple pairs. My fabric is in the dryer now, but I'll be getting started on them soon!

I'm replying really late to this, but I have a question!
I bought my fabric for these pants today but I'm worried they're going to look like clown pants. I knew they're supposed to be baggy and wide, but I think they're going to be even more so on my body. It says the size small fits a 6-8 and I usually wear a 2-4. Do you think it would be fine still or should I thin the legs a little?
8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Where do you buy hankies? on: February 14, 2009 07:19:02 AM
I just started embroidering about 3 weeks ago and I'm so addicted! I can't stop! I already have a little stash of projects that I want to do. I would love to embroider on some hankies, but I have no idea where I would even buy a hanky. Can any of you recommend a place to buy them? I would prefer to buy them in bulk and I'm willing to order over the internet Smiley

Thanks!

This is on knitty? Hmm...I've never seen it, but I LOVE it! So cute!

I like it; I really think it looks great!
