11  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / bubbles shelf on: July 19, 2007 02:43:22 PM
so I collect rubber duckies, and recently my collection has surpassed the space I had for it. luckily I went to a rummage sale and found a perfect shelf for $2. The only problem... it was a hideous 70's-esk orange color. but then I had a stroke of genius... what goes better with duckies than bubbles?! so here's the finished product.

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / drum major dress on: May 27, 2007 01:41:11 PM
Hey everybody
So last friday I was made drum major for next marching band season at my school (yay me!) and so that means I get to figure out the outfit I want to wear to football games and competitions. I was wondering if any of you creative craftsters could help me come up with an awesome outfit. The theme of the show is saturday morning cartoons, so it can't be too formal, at the same time I don't want it to be too casual, and I'd probably prefer a dress to pants. do any of you have ideas? Thanks for the input!
13  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / anti-peyton shirt for my friend on: February 25, 2007 03:26:37 PM
My friend absolutely despises peyton manning. i don't really know why, but her birthday is coming up so I decided to make her a shirt that would express her hatred.
14  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / super bowl snacks? on: February 03, 2007 03:01:48 PM
I'm trying to figure out what i'll make for the super bowl, and i was wondering if anyone else had any good ideas of vegetarian "junk" food for the big game. Right now i'm thinking about doing loaded nachos (lots of beans and cheese), tofu pigs in a blanket, and a spinach artichoke dip. what are you guys planning?
15  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Care bear cross stitch! on: January 26, 2007 02:47:32 PM
I'm pretty new to cross stitching. this is my second project. there was a whole series of care bears at walmart. this is the wish bear, and i really want to go back and buy the other ones so i can have the whole set!

(please excuse the bad photography)
16  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / first wearable crochet on: January 22, 2007 05:02:49 PM
yea this is probably the bajillionth crocheted hat, but I'm pretty proud of myself cause up til now I've only crocheted little animals and stuff that you can't wear. I used this pattern http://www.shifio.co.uk/freepatterns/Beanies19pattern.htm (the white one)

(please ignore the unconquerable mess that is my room)

This was also helpful cause it let me use up some of my scrap yarn.  Grin
17  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / first cross-stitch: music loving ducky on: December 14, 2006 06:16:57 PM
so I've been wanting to try cross stitch for awhile and I was at AC Moore the other day and this jumped out at me. it combines two things i love, duckies and music
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / star earflap hat on: December 02, 2006 08:07:50 PM
here's an x-mas present for one of my friends. it's a variation on the basic earflap hat. though instead of regular earflaps i crocheted stars and sewed them to the hat.

19  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / pirate journal on: December 02, 2006 08:04:47 PM
this is an x-mas present for my friend. She loves to write and is obsessed with pirates. she also has a fondness for the saying "yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" so here's what i came up with

the front cover

sorry the pic's blurry, but i stamped this on the corner of every page. it's a little pirate ship.

what do you guys think?
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / how do i get the texture on this hat on: November 11, 2006 10:42:42 AM
I really like this hat http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=25790&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=77&iSubCat=1247&iProductID=25790 it looks like it'd be pretty easy to make but i can't figure out how to get that texture. does anyone have any suggestions? is there a certain yarn i could use? any help is greatly appreciated.
