1  UNITED STATES / North Carolina / UNC CH Craftsters on: August 19, 2008 01:10:56 PM
Hey guys I just started at UNC-CH and I was wondering if there were any fellow craftsters out here. I figured since it's such a big school there's bound to be a couple. I was also wondering about stitch n' bitches in the area if there are any.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / decoupaged plastic drawers on: July 23, 2008 05:41:00 PM
Hi everyone.

So I'm going off to college in less than a month (UNC yay!) and I've been buying stuff for my dorm and I bought a set of small plastic drawers to hold my makeup, they're perfect for the job but they were kind of plain. So after reading a blog post on craftzine.com about decoupaging a plastic storage box I decided to try my hand at it and here are the results.

side view, sorry kind of blurry

sorry I didn't take a before pic, but the frame was white and the drawers clear

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / "classy rainbow" prom dress on: May 06, 2008 05:47:54 PM
hey everyone!

my prom was last weekend and I thought I'd share my awesome dress that one of my friends' mothers made me. I refer to it as my classy rainbow dress because it's still formal enough for prom but it had rainbow insets at the bottom. I myself made the sash for the dress because i felt like it needed a little something extra. Oh and I made my flower hair clip too just by hot gluing fake flowers to a bobby pin.

i don't have any good action shots but when i walked or danced the bottom would flare out and look really pretty.

thanks for looking  Grin

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: what type of paint should you use for leather? on: March 04, 2008 03:35:33 PM
ok, thanks for the tips, i thought taking off the finish my help the paint adhere, but if you think it would harm it then I'll take your word for it
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / what type of paint should you use for leather? on: March 04, 2008 01:11:18 PM
Hi everyone,
I have a leather case for my ipod, and I like it a lot, but it's black, and kinda boring. So i was thinking about painting it. I figured I could use nail polish remover to remove most of the finish, but then i was wondering if there's a specific type of paint I should use or not use to paint on the leather. I've never done anything like this, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
