Too bad, it'd be nice if I didn't have to browse so many different categories, or do a search to find Blythe crafts specifically... I was looking forward to one convienent folder for them all!
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Vintage Velvet Scarf (Image Heavy) on: May 07, 2007 07:00:37 PM
Does anyone know if there's a store I can see the Muench "Touch Me" yarn (in the Chicagoland area?) I'm dying to make one now... but I can't decide from the crappy photos on the internet which color I like best. Western Suburbs would be best, but I'll make the drive if anyone knows where I can find this yarn! Thanks for any help!!!

Again, I totally love this, and HAVE to have one of my own!  Cheesy

I made my Clap with 2 balls (actually just under, cuz I did a swatch and had a tiny simdge leftover,) of SWTC Bamboo on size 6 needles. It finished smaller than most others, at 16"w by 48-50" long. It's soooo drapey it was kinda hard to measure. I followed the pattern exactly (except I slipped my first sts purlwise on the increase section.) I'm pleased as punch with the outcome, and I just have to decide what to do with my 2 leftover balls (I got plenty to cover my ass.)

I was planning on a smaller wrap, I noticed how large some here finished out to be, and I wanted something not so huge. I suppose if you do 2 in black you could buy a "third" ball to split between 2, to make them both a little bigger. Go Clappers! I love this thing! LOL (OK, so I am a doofus!  Cheesy )

She's beautiful! V-smash is one of my dream girls, too! I still haven't named my newest girl, a prima Violet I plan on customising! LOL

Swatch up the black silk! I'd also reccommend SWTC Bamboo, it's soft as silk, and the yardage is great (the link will take you straight to solid black.) I made mine with 2 balls - a 26$ Clapotis! (Mine was a bit smaller than most others, but I didn't want a wrap I'd end up swimming in, but rather just large enough to keep my cold shoulders warm! Whichever way you end up going, I'm sure they'll be beautiful! I totally love mine! LOL

iheartmyTHO - Will you be getting married indoors or out? And do you prefer more posed photos, or more casual/photojournalistic ones? I only ask, cuz if they're not subjected to "the flash" they might look less sparkly. Plus are your bridesmaid dresses sparkly, too? Sparkle on sparkle may be too much, but if you're indoors it might not be too bad.

I hope they work for you, starting over can be so frustrating sometimes! Good luck!!!
20  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Re: YARN DYEING 101 - KOOL AID on: April 23, 2007 06:53:14 AM
If it's not too hot, when you stick your fingers in, do they come out orange? If they do, or if the dye starts running out when you go to rinse, then it wan't set long enough. I wish I could give you a time estimate, but all the dyeing I've done was in the microwave! Good luck!
