Lovely work!

My quilts always sit around unfinished for a while too. I say I'm "aging" it, like whiskey or wine. Wink

A beautiful quilt with great craftsmanship! And it brightens up the room so perfectly! Smiley

It's beautiful! I would have kept it for myself, haha...

I love the fabric you picked, and I love how they're a piece of family history living on. Great work!

A little textile experiment! It was originally supposed to be a small rug, but it turned out a little too small (the woven part is about 11" x 19"). I'm still really pleased with it though. I seriously can't stop staring at it. Smiley

Classy and fabulous!
18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pin-up girl peplum top on: July 09, 2014 04:35:12 PM

I wore this sundress for my college graduation (4 years ago now, yikes!). I was really thrilled to find out it fits me again, but I was not thrilled with how short it was in back... so now it's a top!

Just a simple cut and hem situation. It tapers to be slightly lower in the back (mullet/hi-lo hem?). I made straps out of the leftovers to give it a fun retro pin-up girl kind of look.

Now I just need to find a boy to buy me an ice-cream soda down at the drugstore...

Beautiful transformation! For the floors, did you follow any specific tutorial online? Or just the instructions that came with the boards?

I love this! So genius to keep the pockets! And bravo on all that structuring, cause it really pays off. You look so classy and cute!

What size were the original pants? Is it wool? This is really inspiring, and I'm already planning out my own version in the back of my head... Smiley
