1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Hats, hats and more hats! on: June 08, 2004 04:23:39 PM
In a couple of weeks I will be having surgery on my head....They have so shave a little bit of it that is on top and will be quite noticeable.  I've been lookin' around here and have found some hat patterns I like but I was wondering if you guys have any more.  I cannot knit, and cannot crochet very well, so sewing would be my favorite option, but crochet would work, too.
Thanks a bunch!
2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / 1900 clothing on: June 08, 2004 11:42:20 AM
For a project I am about to take on I think it would be cool to have the people dressed in period clothing.  We're looking at a time between 1850 and 1920 I think.  Does anybody know of any patterns for women's clothing that look like clothes from back then?  I hope that makes sense.  Basically I'm looking for costume patterns for clothes that fit the time between 1850 and 1920.  Nothing too upper class, and most likely no mens clothing, it's only ladies doing this project with me.

Please and Thank You!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Comedy and Tragedy Awards on: May 12, 2004 03:57:35 PM
I'm in charge of coming up with the awards for my schools drama award show.  I need to make or buy little trinkets or something to go along with each award.  We have a lot of awards and a small budget, so everything has to be cheap.  I want to make something with the comedy and tragedy masks on it but have no idea what to do.  Does anyone have any ideas on things to make or buy!?  The items should be similar to a trophy, just something to remember their award by.
Thanks,
   Lulu
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Horsehair Bracelets! on: April 12, 2004 09:26:56 PM
So I've been looking online and found some really awesome bracelets made out of horsehair...Does anyone have any ideas about how to make them?  Braiding the hair together would work, yes, but how would it stay together!?
Any ideas?  I just googled it and a bunch of sites came up selling them but I want to make my own!
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Army bowl on: April 10, 2004 07:56:22 PM
These bowls are rather expensive and I don't think they could be that hard to make... http://www.mosleymeetswilcox.com/shop/shopwar.htm
Does anyone know how to make one?  If so please share!
