This is the middle portion of a quilt I'm making for my boyfriend and my bed.  It's a project out of Projects For the Weekend Quilter, I'll find out the name when I get home.  But it's a bunch of Moda fabric and I just need to finish the border and we'll be good to go!





And yes, those are pirate sheets on the bed.

Here's some handspun I did, it's Icelandic wool hand dyed by SpunkyEclectic.com, it's a thick and thin single plied with light blue cotton thread.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any specific address in the Garment District for good fabric.  Any help would be awesome!  Thanks!

I'm knitting the Sampler Afghan from Cables Untangled, and it would be nice to have some encouragement/commiseration buddies while I try to get it finished, plus I am in L-O-V-E love with cables and I'd love to see what other people are doing.  Anyone up for this?

I knit the Leo Sweater for my Dad for his Christmas present that he got in February.  But it fits him like a dream, and it's gorgeous!  Here's some pics:

Hey, for those of you who knit and those of you who want to learn:

Would anyone be interested in starting a group that knits in either one pub one night a week, or who move from pub to pub?  Let me know what you think.

ok I had to post this hat I just finished, I modified a pattern my friend Zona wrote.  But I think it's awesome!



The brown is cascade 220, the green is wool ease.  The top, is a lot like Topi from Knitty, but in seed stitch with a stockingette band for the green and the brim is pretty much the brim from SNB Nation for the Newsboy cap.  I think that's it.

Ok, I'm costuming a play right now called Metamorphoses by Mary Zimmerman.  It's for my old highschool.  They can't rent the costumes because the majority of the play takes place in/around a 24'x24' pool of water.  Ok onto my issue, the show runs for 6 nights, 3 on the first weekend 3 on the second.  The girls are all going to be in dresses that I'm making, and the guys in vests or tunics, depending on character.  What fabric would be best to make these out of so that I don't have to make more than one dress for each girl?  I was thinking a cotton, the dresses are just basic peseant dresses with an empire waist, nothing to major, but there are 6 girls and 7 guys.  Any help would be awesome!
