1  Portrait of my friend... in Needlework: Completed Projects by marleymiss on: December 14, 2012 02:16:15 PM
So my friend's mate is a really good illustrator and I contacted her behind his back to see if she'd help me out making him a Christmas present.

She drew this awesome picture of him and I embroidered it, all backstitch.

The beauty of doing a collaboration like this is that I would never choose a picture with such a busy background normally as I don't like doing repetetive stitching but this looks really nice I think, I hope he loves it!

Was a bit torn on whether to do the entire thing in black but opted for three different colours for the leaves to make it pop!

5  Nude model for my friend NSFW in Needlework: Completed Projects by marleymiss on: March 25, 2012 07:31:49 AM
My friend Vinny wanted an embroidery so I told him to choose his favourite photo of a model. He chose this photo from SG so I stitched it up last night.

7  Dub Deer in Needlework: Completed Projects by marleymiss on: March 22, 2012 06:58:00 AM
Hi! I made this "dub deer" to replace the bob Marley patch I just made and lost[the most satin stitch ever:(].

I wanted something that looked traditional so I took elements from an Aunt Martha pattern I'd seen KittyKill do on a tote bag which looked amazing, and added two freehand speakers.

I like the layout of the final design it's all backstitch with a tiny bit of satin stitch for the eyes and a few french knots for the screws on the speakers. Enjoy!

9  BOB MARLEY PATCH in Needlework: Completed Projects by marleymiss on: March 15, 2012 11:04:54 AM
I've been going over the seams on a plain black hoodie adding red yellow and green stitching to make it stand out, so I thought it was only fitting that I added a Bob Marley patch. Two days in the making and here's the result:

10  DOG SH*T CREW! in Needlework: Completed Projects by marleymiss on: December 05, 2011 08:16:15 AM
Did these as neck-wear for the DSC[dog sh*t crew] who are three music producers. Their logo done in chain stitch. Did different colours as I'm easily bored and wouldn't want to stitch exactly the same thing three times.

And here's a pic I took of one of the guys [Stivs] when I gave them the hoops at their gig:
