51  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: the melted bead bowl on: August 20, 2006 08:18:00 PM
I just loved reading all your posts on these melted beaded bowls. I also have a ton of these beads as well as those other kind of peg beads that glow in the dark etc. and was wondering if those can be used to make a mold of. Usually you just use an iron and the paper on top of it to melt and fuse together. Can you ues those Reynold's mini shapes tins and also any tins? Also I would suggest to wear a disposable mask when baking with these beads. My local thrift stores always has different types of metal bowls etc. Making a cool picturesque design on a cookie sheet would be fun. You gals have great talents and ingenious ideas.

Those are too awesome all those great ideas.

Another idea is to glue them on to those plastic bangle bracelets, head bands and wide strapped thongs.
57  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Those record purses (have a couple tips to offer) on: June 05, 2005 04:38:07 PM
Hi Craftsters,

I like to come here now and then to check out all the great ideas you crafter's come up with. Very ingenious and creative. The tips I would like to share with you are if you want to make holes much easier is to use a woodburning tool with the pointed tip and a piece of wood underneath to protect your work surface. I would use an old wooden butcher block from a thrift store. Another tip is to embellish the records with jewels, buttons, fabric, beads etc. Embroidery floss in different colors would be great to use to lace it all together. You can also make your own label for the center using sticker paper. On the inside you can glue old jean pockets to put your pens, lipstick etc in.
58  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re:what to do with old sewing patterns on: April 09, 2004 02:54:38 PM
 Cheesy
I would use the pictures on the pattern envelopes to make magnetic dolls. I can't part with my old patterns at all but someday I might use the patterns to decoupage on my old dress form. I have used pattern pieces from old patterns to adapt to new patterns also.
