After lurking in this thread and seeing all of the other craft areas that have been transformed I will post pics of my craft room in progress
Here is a short story of how my craft room came about.
When we moved into this house a little over a year ago we had a den and a living room. The den was where the previous owners had closed in the garage. It has its own bath room and lots of windows and is connected to the laundry room.
Well we decided that we would make it the kids play room and keep all of their toys in it and put in a tv for their game systems etc.
Well, when they did come in here to play they left the room in a huge mess and would bring in food and drinks that of course with get spilled then they would not clean them up.
So I got tired of it and decided that I would take it over as my craft room and move the computer desk in here and make it my room.
OH I missed this part. The small bath room that is off of the toy room died (or at least the toilet did) so I made it in to a storage area where I added a shelf for my yarn and then used all of the cabinets for other craft stuff and fill the shower with packing boxes etc.
So now that I have taken over the toy room I will be able to spread out and have a place for every thing and I can make my hubby fix the toilet (or I will do it to save the heartache).
So I went to the thrift store and bought a 2 drawer legal size filing cabinet and a wicker toy type chest.
I alread had a big book shelf and a plastic storage shelf so I think I am set.
Here are the now pics...
One corner still filled with kids toys
Another corner filled with toys and the top of the filing cab and the wicker chest
My book shelf already stuffed with fabric
Around the corner in front of the over run "craft" bathroom and door to the laundry room
The back of my filing cab
The wicker chest that is now full of craft stuff (including my sewing machine) adn the top is covered with mailing supplies
My recliner that I have not even put the back on yet
Since I only have a web cam I could not get around the corner to take pics of the bathroom O' crafts lol
But as soon as I get this clean I will be posting pics so you can see it in all of its crafty glory.
PS I am looking for ideas of a way to spruce up the drab filing cab. It is in very good shape but has a rust ring on the top like some one had a plant that left a mark on it.
I need to jazz it up cuz the off white is just BORING
