I was wondering if anyone would like to be my friend. Of all the blogs I read I esapecially touched when someone has a 'pen friend' of sorts with letters and parcels being interchanged. I want that. I would love to not only get to know someone throush email, letters etc but also grow to be fond of them if not love them, in a delightful postal way.
I am dedicated to this and so would be a very frequent poster. Other than that I am from and in Glasgow, Scotland. I am a keen knitter, sewer and all round crafter in that order. I think that people make a life and the very idea of this excites me.
Ah I am not sure of what I should be saying to sell myself. I have time for alot of things. I LOVE film, I am a reader and a viewer. I used to paint before an accident that left me unable. I want to find beauty and humanity in all and I wish to become more articulated through the hand written letter.
There is a new craft shop opening beside Di Maggio's in the west end. I know very little other than it is due to open soon.
Okay not a lot of information there, but exciting none the less! I gleamed from the sign that it will stock beads, scrapbook and paper related craft stuff.
I fear I may get lost with all these crafsters looking for pen pals but I will try now the less.
My name is Jen, I am from and live in Glasgow, Scotland. I am 23 and living in sin with my darling Billy with two organically breed guinea pigs.
I found craftster and crafting in general though knitting. I took a class in knitting at my local yarn shop and from that evening onwards I was addicted, I used to paint for a living but after an incident I lost the accuracy in my hand leaving me able to write and type but not communicate the ideas in my head to the canvas through my hand. Knitting has captured my creative side allowing me to once again express and content my creative side. Once soaked in knitting and knitting culture I stumbled upon craftster and all the other areas of crafting that I had the potential to be doing. So here I am with too many hobbies and in risk of over running my life with supplies and ideas.
Please contact me if you wish to know more or be my penpal jenniferDOTwardropeATgmailDOTcom
I have only been knitting for a couple of months and have really taken it up with gusto! Below are my first pair of socks which is my fifth or sixth project, I am not sure.
