3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Recreating this sweater on: September 24, 2006 09:23:57 AM
I'm a total browncoat and for halloween I wanted to dress up as River. I adore her outfit in Safe, and was hoping to be able to wear that, I'm having trouble figuring out how her sweater is made, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

This is the best pic I could find of it.

6  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Spinning for a Beginner. on: May 31, 2006 11:44:00 AM
Hey,

I've been knitting for a while, but have always been interested in spinning, now that I'm about to get a real house,
I figured this would be the perfec way to celebrate and give me a push forward. I'm kinda scared to start right in with a
spinning wheel so I was wondering if I could have some good recommendations for beginner spindles, and
any advice you could give. Also which fibers to pick and some good learn to spin books would be very helpful. Thanks!
