1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Re: yarn easter eggs - yay! on: April 13, 2011 12:12:04 PM
Hey y'all.. just came back across this post that I created 7 years ago... wow!  I realize the picture links are not working, and I'll see if I can fix that.  I still have that easter egg, and what a fun craft that was!

I'll have to see if I can gather up those images now.. I can't imagine they're of any decent quality, so maybe I will just have to have a crafting party this weekend to recreate the project.  Haha!   Cheesy

Craft on!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: weezer t-shirt .. from a medium, to a cute&tiny! on: August 21, 2005 08:18:34 PM
so do you resize the sleeves or just cut them?  just wondering, cause it seems like if you just opened up the neck real big like that, would/do the sleeves fall down or stay up like that?

SO cute!  Cheesy  great job!

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is the BADGE-A-MINIT brand button maker any good? on: June 03, 2005 11:22:10 PM
badge-a-minit is great!  i got mine a few years ago (but it was clear orange and trendy!) but somehow (please, please don't ask..) the handle broke off.. which seems completely unpossible.. considering the plastic is very thick and there's a big metal slab in the middle.. but whatever.  my luck, right?  that was my ONLY problem with them.  however, i emailed them about it, and they replaced it free of charge, but i got the drab gray instead of my electric orange.  but that's okay.

the reason it isn't so expensive is because you'll need to buy more button parts.  i don't know if i can remember where i got mine from (i got like.. 500 of each piece!) but it ended up being a very good deal.  you'll just have to shop around with that.  also, it doesn't come with a circle cutter, so you'll need to get that too (trust me, if you're going to be making buttons, you'll DEFINITELY want this..)

just with the deal that i got straight from them, i think it came with the circle cutter and a software program that you can make templates on (the clipart is extremely cheesy, but it's nice to use and have), in addition to everything else.

hope i helped a little, and good luck!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: dotty sundress for summer on: May 22, 2005 06:09:51 PM

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: First Post: Huge "Band Camp" t-shirt to tank top! on: April 26, 2005 05:18:02 PM
ooh, i get to be the untypical band-weenie, here.  Cheesy  MARCHING BASS CLARINETIST!  haha!  Yeah, so i played clarinet in 6th grade, converted to bass clarinet 7th and 8th grade, had to go back to clarinet in 9th grade for concert and marching band because we had none, converted back to bass clarinet for 10th and 11th grade (currently), and i learned tenor sax over the summer so i could be in another jazz band.  CRAZY confusing..  haha.  but yeah, there aren't very many bass clarinet - playing people.  haha.  and i tried contra-bass.. but that just didn't work.  haha.

i <3 band.

and great shirt, btw!
8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Button Swap (SIGNUP 4/12/05-4/30/05 ; MAIL BY 5/10/05) on: April 23, 2005 10:15:29 AM
out of curiosity, are these pin-back buttons, or buttons-with-holes-that-you-use-for-clothes-and-crafts-etc.?

haha, sorry!

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Reconstructed plain black skirt on: April 10, 2005 12:06:12 PM
do you think that design can be improvised into a tutorial where the skirt can be made from scratch too?

the end product is real cute, but i dont wanna ruin my black skirt Tongue yet

yeah, i think you can!  just make a cut out a big circle out of fabric (measure first, of course), although if it's already a circle, it'll have some excess fabric anyway.  but if you want, you can still add in the extra fabric.

hope it helps!
