21  Jon Stewart: First stenciling! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ph33lth3lov3 on: September 18, 2004 07:47:03 PM
Jon Stewart!
He's my favorite fake-news-show host....
And the daily show is my favorite fake-news show.

I love this shirt, it's my first t-shirt stencil attempt! The white on black was kinda splotchy tho, i did two coats and used fabric medium. I'm glad i stopped at two coats, the paint is kinda hard right now!
I don't have the stencil anymore, however. I searched through my pictures to no avail.... this is the pic i used. I also used the logo.
Photoshop is like magic!
**Edit- i made another stencil. you might have to use your imagination while cutting, tho.

i'm feeling horribly bored today, so i decided to make a picture for what i thought rather than try to explain it.

i hope your room comes out!

24  My books aren't boring! (at least the covers aren't.... ;) ) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by ph33lth3lov3 on: August 27, 2004 10:53:22 PM
Since i see my books all the time, i didn't want those little elastic book covers. With the help of craftsters(!) I have cool stenciled books now! yay!

I first covered them with brown paper shopping bags, then painted them with acrylic paint, then covered them with contact paper. And I found all the stencils on craftster.
NOW i'm ready to go back to school! Cheesy

25  Re: Pencil case! Help! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by ph33lth3lov3 on: August 17, 2004 01:06:06 AM
i actually just painted on my pencil bag about an hour ago! it was just a black cosmetic case- very boring.

I like rainbow, so i changed the ribbon color on the front to a gradient, and added a tattoo i found on deviantart.com for the back.
I used acrylic paint, and i think it will hold up nicely to everyday use... I just checked and it's all polyester too.
Maybe paint a painting you like on the yellow part! Starry starry night, your dog, whatever floats your boat.
or write song lyrics?
good luck with your painting! Wink

26  tshirt timeline quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by ph33lth3lov3 on: June 30, 2004 12:36:26 AM
Well, long story short, I volunteer at a peace focused day camp every year, and we have had eleven years of camp so far! I thought, "instead of lugging all these tshirts (we could lose them!) around, lets put them into a quilt!" so i did. I was particularly nervous because this was only my second quilt and some of these shirts were one of a kind. No messing up for me!
This is a display quilt, so no one will really be using it. Hence the tabs at the top.
The only problems i had were the tshirts stretching, and sometimes it made the squares and therefore the rows longer. It got kinda close on some of them....  Shocked The stretching made it difficult to stitch the two sides together, too.
each corner has a seed bead sewn in, mainly for decoration.
I also made a dandy drawstring carrying case for it from a bedsheet so it doesn't get dirty.  Smiley

(please ignore my foot.)

I am very proud of this quilt, and i am so sad i have to give it away!

I hope no one else from the camp is on craftster, it's supposed to be a surprise! Cheesy  Wink

Here is a new wallet, and i like to call it "starry starry wallet." I made it for a friend, and i'm getting better and quicker at making these! It is similar to my last wallet, key to my heart. I'm also proud of my new biz cards... Wink
