Ok, my turn to post! Here's the amazing package I got from Suueedee

Firstly, an amazing handmade Phoenix art journal, using upcycled paper.

Next there was a Gryffindor tote bag which I'm going to use as a knitting project bag

Then there was a Weasley Wizarding Wheezes bookmark; such a clever idea and so well executed!

And a loop bracelet in my house colours with the Hogwarts badge on Smiley

Thank you for everything Suueedee Cheesy

Ok, prepare to drool as I share with you photos of the lovely things that Maraschino sent me! She really 'got' me! Cheesy

First there was this lovely embroidered hoopla for my yoga space - it has a lotus design on it

Then there was an Ohm mandala pin cushion - one of my tattoos has a similar design to this so it makes it quite special. Maraschino sensibly didn't stuff it to save on international postage costs, but that's fine because I can do that here!

Then I opened this gorgeous hair fork with a hand crafted cavandoli macrame flower design - such an intricate design - it must have taken hours!

There was also a lovely cap in Icelandic wool which will be fantastic when it starts to get cold!

And this gorgeous quartz crystal point necklace also made in cavandoli macrame which is completely held together by tension and no glue! I love this and have already had loads of compliments Cheesy

And lastly, Maraschino sent me a lovely card and a Beats Antique sticker that she bought for me from the show (we both love Beats Antique!)

Thank you Maraschino!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

This is meant to be a fun, chilled out swap, so the minimum crafting requirement for this swap is 1 large, 2 Medium and 2 Small. Don't forget to communicate with your partner on how much you would like to craft for each other. Usually for this swap, people craft waaay more than the minimum requirement, so agree beforehand if you are going to spoil each other, so that no-one is left feeling embarrassed! We are also going for quality here so make sure your hippy crafts are fabulous! Remember, this is the minimum...please feel free to do more if you have time/enough creativity!

Communication is vital for an enjoyable swap! Please post in this thread at least once a week so that we can all stay in touch. Get in touch with your swap partner as soon as possible after receiving your swap info. Please keep me informed if you have a problem or have a question. I’m not a mind reader so I need you to tell me if you need something.

Remember: The more details that you put in your questionnaire the more likely you are to receive a package you love and the easier it will be for me to match you up with someone who can make you happy.

Another little note:
Swappers will receive temporary negative feedback if:
-it is one week past send-outs and you are out of communication
-it is two weeks past send-outs and you have not yet sent, regardless of the communication with us and your partner.

Communicate often to your partner and in this thread, and I will send occasional PMs to make sure that everyone is on track. We want no flakers please!

Additionally, you *must* PM me & your partner when you send. You *must* get a DC# unless you are shipping internationally, then you must have a receipt as proof of postage -- no exceptions. And you *must* PM me & your partner when you receive. Also, please post pictures of what you received in the gallery. If you do not have access to a camera, please let your partner know so that they can take photos before they send and can post in the gallery for you. It is recommended that you take photos anyway in case things get lost in the post!

Most important of all................ ........... HAVE FUN AND ENJOY SOME HIPPY CRAFTY-LOVE!

Here's the lovely package I received from Paper Beau Smiley

Here's the whole stash lovingly wrapped

The large was this amazing handmade paper journal, made from pea plant pulp! I think I'll be using this for my holiday journal...

Then I had this wonderful peacock feather inspired oil painting

An embroidered jeans patch which I think I'll be incorporating into a pixie pocket pouch/belt

Then there was a decorated incense holder, an origami elephant, an origami buddha card and some wrist band Smiley

Thank you Paper Beau! Cheesy

9  Serged and Stripy in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Samsara on: July 30, 2013 02:01:47 PM

I really wanted one of those cool serged recycled sweather tops but just couldn't justify the cash, so I raided the charity shops and had a go at making my own....

10  Tribal Belt from Scraps!! in Costumes: Completed Projects by Samsara on: July 30, 2013 01:50:13 PM

I had a lovely Indian patchwork cushion which I loved. Sadly my puppy loved it too and spent an afternoon carfully dismantling the cushion, patch by patch. So I had all these wonderfully ornate embroidered patches and I just couldn't bear to throw them away. So, I used a pair of curtain tie backs as base, I covered them, them sewed and embroidered the patches to them, added details, beads and cabachons, a couple of curtain rings, Indian silk yarn and chain from a local DIY shop, and created this lovely tribal fushion belt.
