2  Super easy toddler smock bib in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by CayceeMae on: January 19, 2009 03:07:51 PM
Hey just had an idea of a easy toddler bib
Start with a towel - the longest side will determine the length of the sleeves - longer means longer sleeves
try to find those ones that are long and skinny so less cutting!

cut along the dotted line (stops at the halfway point)
add trim along where you cut or make two and sew them together to make it double sided
fold up sides after cutting along the dotted line (stops at the halfway point)
sew seam at top it will look like T

turn inside out (so the 2 top seams are hidden)
and viola you've got a bib with little sleeves

Add straps to tie around neck!
I'll add photo's once i actually make one.
Let me know if you have any questions, etc!

3  Recycled magazine bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by CayceeMae on: December 07, 2008 09:22:07 PM
Hi
I whipped up this little bag today to wrap a bday present in.
It's made of magazine pages - cut in half, then folded in thirds.
Then i wove them together - dabbing with glue as needed
Trimmed and folded down the edges - and added a strip of tape for the seam and at the bottom
handle is left over strip taped to the inside
Very easy to do

8  New dresses for my niece made from free odds and ends in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by CayceeMae on: July 08, 2008 10:48:50 AM
Hi so i made these one afternoon for my little niece
They're both pillowcase style dresses - no pattern used
the green dress was actually a odds and ends bin at fabricland (buy 1 get 3 free!)
i add a piece of brown stretchy fabric for the top, covered the top of the green tube and sewed it together. then i added brown ribbon ties. Striped dress was made the same way, just longer. I'm going to hem it much shorter so she doesn't trip on it. the main part of the dress is about 2 times the actual size of her chest.

10  My Wedding Invites! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by CayceeMae on: April 16, 2008 03:54:43 PM
Just thought i'd share my wedding invites.
I designed them myself in illustrator - the background behind the text is the pattern on my dress - photographed than edited on the computer
I used a fancy corner punch on each corner than glued it on a larger sheet of red cardstock (with a nice linen look to it)
Let me know what you think!

and one computer rendered to show off the background pattern since it didn't scan in very well on the gold paper
the gold paper is a nice sparkly gold vellum paper

(and it's not our real last names)
