My friend went all the way out to the end and harvested lots of really nice, perfect shells. I made a necklace for her daughter and she's been wearing it alot. Her mom was really surprised since her daughter doesn't usually wear jewelry. I told her it must be because of the good memories associated with them.
When I go home to Hawaii we usually hunt for puka shells. After 3 years of this I only have 8 inches or so. I hope that I can collect enough to make Lana an authentic necklace on her 18th B-day.
Are you guys crafting? I just finished another copper necklace for one of my swaps. I'm busy trying to use baby fabrics to craft for my partner. So far I've come up with an apron and a blankie for her doggie. Any other suggestions. Help! I'm working with yellow, pink, and light blue fabrics with bunnies and duckies.
