Feast your eyes on this lovely wrap that pawnshoppromises made for me.  Lovely isn't it?  It's for my dad's cousin who lives in Japan.

My usual little monkey didn't want to pose for me, so I had to let George stand in for her.

Here's the link to the pattern:

It's even more lovely in person.  Thank you so much Samantha!!  This rocks!!

10283  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / 3 stranded choker with plastic beads on: January 21, 2007 11:26:13 AM
Hi!

Been looking for some high quality plastic beads to make a choker for a while since good glass beads are expensive.  Anyhow I saw these strands at a Five Below Store and decided to use them to make this.  Now I gotta find more beads.  Ack!  Enjoy.  Comments always appreciated.

These will be little thank you gifts for my swap partners Lulubean and Sewknitter.  I hope they like them.

AModernMantra: Cuteness overload!  Any color would be awesome.  I personally would love some green ones for my daughter.

I told you guys to stop making this so hard for me to choose.  Ack.  I wish I were crafting 50 things so that I could get it all!!

If I had come across that pattern without seeing your finished wrap, I wouldn't have given it a second thought.  Now I have to remember this as a possible gift for any of the women in my family.

Hehehe, that's funny because when I first saw pawnshoppromises' post I didn't realize that this wrap was for me. You're totally right...the pic posted with that pattern doesn't show off how awesome it is.  There are alot of good old pattens out there waiting to be rediscovered!!!

I am on pins and needles awaiting my lovely wrap.

Pawnshoppromises YOU ROCK!!!
10288  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery - January 2007, Happy New Year! on: January 17, 2007 04:46:13 PM
Javede was making me some wristwarmers in our Ongoing Offer What you have swap and while talking we decided to do a small personal swap for some fabrics.  Of course being the awesome person that she is she sent a few other surprises:

Feast your eyes on the fabric.  The one in the back is a vintage pillow case.  I absolutely love this!!  And the rest of the cute fabrics.  Then she spolied me with lovely extras: trims, awesome buttons (I esp love the little white elephants), beads (turquiose and the most awesome glass cat beads in green--my daughter's favorite color), and tons of findings.  And the sweetest gift of all a butterfly necklace and bracelet set for my daughter.

See how happy my little monkey is.  Lana wore this all evening thru dinner and is still wearing it.

Thank you Javede!!  We love it all!

I'm in!
So excited about this.
Item #1- Hand knit Mr. Square mascot, see bottom of the photo:
Note- I can make him into a magnet, into a keychain, into a purse charm or stuff him extra fat for a pin cushion.

That Mr. Square is so cute.  I'm making one sorta like him in crochet for my friend's new baby.  I was thinking of using plastic bags encased in a cotton bag to stuff him with cause I wanted something that made a crunchy sound.  What do you guys think?  I'm putting it in a bag so that there won't be a danger of her swallowing a piece of plastic.  Or should I just do the same with fiberfill?
