811  Winged Hearts....I'm so proud of myself *wink* in Beads: Completed Projects by underthemountain on: February 22, 2007 07:37:40 AM
I've been into Swarovski crystal for a while and I finally decided to design something of my own.  So here it is....
a heart with wings.  It took alot of fiddling around to get the heart shape the way I wanted it to be and it was crazy hard for me to figure out how to do the wings so I'm rather proud of it.  I hope you like it.

And my mom modelling it.

Here's one of a heart that I made for a friend.

And some more of the other pendants that I started out with.  My sis really liked hers.  Smiley in ruby
and in emerald green

Comments are always appreciated.  Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!!

I received these last week Friday...sorry for the late posting. Embarrassed

Anyhow, I got 2 lovely row counter bracelets from Muria.  These are so lovely that even if you don't knit/crochet you would want to wear them!  And I got 2 awesome headbands for my daughter from Roxybadoxy.  I tried to get an action shot, but Lana wasn't in the mood.  Ack.  And last, but not least 2 lovely heart items from LuxieLou.  I decided to share one with my swap partner in the Mushroom swap.  It will be for her 7 yr old daughter...ssh, it's a surprise!  The other I will take off the keyring and make into a necklace for my daughter.  These are really too cute!!  Thank you guys!!  I adore everything! -atsuko

813  Monkey Hat for my little monkey in Knitting: Completed Projects by underthemountain on: February 11, 2007 03:54:27 PM
I've been into monkeys for a while and wanted to make a hat for my daughter so I made this.  It is a combo piece--the  mouth and ears are crochet and the hat is knit.  I also made one for my dollies.  Lana calls this her 'ugly monster hat'.  LOL.

At least Nara likes her hat.  Smiley

Thanks for looking.  Comments are always appreciated!!

Woot!  Got some goodies today!!!

First from sewknitter:
A lovely pouch and a great tatted bracelet.  Thank you!!!

This is a great pouch with tons of room for all my stuff.  I plan to use it to haul bandaids, wipes, and snacks for my daughter when we go out.  Yay!!!

My awesome tatted bracelet.  I've been wearing this around the house all day.  I love it.  Sewknitter made one for my daughter that you can see in the Personal Swap Gallery Feb.  These are soooo lovely.

Thank you sewknitter!!

Stay tuned for the rest of my haul...(my hubby is calling me so I have to go for now.)

816  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery - February 2007 in The Swap Gallery by underthemountain on: February 10, 2007 12:39:02 PM
Behold the awesomeness of sewknitter.  I was covetting more of her awesome handwoven scarves for my friends and family so we did a personal swap. Prepare to be jealous of everything. Thank you sewknitter!!!

On to the awesomeness:

Here are the scarves.  Aren't they lovely!!!  Yes, there are an obcsene number of them!  sewknitter surprised me with an extra one in my favorite color --black.  This matches perfectly with the awesome tatted bracelet she also made me.  (You can see the bracelet in the Sweat Shoppe Swap 7 Gallery.)

You would think the extra scarf was more than enough spoiling, but no, sewknitter bombarded me with more great goodies.

Fun beads, a great fishing bookmark for my hubby that says, "So many fish, so little time."  (John loves this and thanks you!!), 2 great little marble magnets which are now happily on my fridge, sun/moon soap (yummy!), and a great frame that says friend (love this!!  I put it around my daughters pic on the fridge.)

Wait there's more...

sewknitter made some goodies for my daughter too.  My favorite is the tatted bracelet in a lovely box with a matching tatted flower.  Now we can be twins, a cute pink/white bracelet that is cleverly made with hairbands (Neato!!), and a Strawberry Shortcake book.  Yay!  Lana loves all of her goodies and enjoyed playing with the cruddles ACK!

You really spoiled us sewknitter!!  Thank you especially for all the care and thought that you put into this wonderful package.

YOU ROCK!!!

Hehehe, lovely pics Knit_north!  Your girls are lovely!!  I'm glad you liked everything!  Now look how Mary spoiled me and my girls.

Doll and Minra were on pins and needles waiting for their package from Knit_north.  (Their little sis Nara got all the goodies that the wonderful Chloeiscrazy sent as a welcome to the family.)  The girls were getting a bit nervous knowing that a wonderful hoodie was on it's way.  Who would win the coveted hoodie?

Minra won the coin toss.  (She's my fav. ssh, don't tell.)
Doesn't she look amazing in the hoodie.  Thank you sooo much Knit_north!!!  Minra also got one of the scarves.  I love the way it is woven....very cool.

But Doll did very well for herself too.  How did Mary know that she had a princess costume and desperately needed a crown?  It is perfect!!!  And she also got a wonderful wrap.  Yay!!

Thank you Knit_north.  You spoiled us royally!!

Now, how do I keep this outta the hands on my little one.  Ack!
