15  mini paper bag book (extremely photo heavy) in CHALLENGE 48 ENTRIES by ModernDayDauphine on: March 02, 2010 11:10:48 AM
Inspired by paper bag scrap books like this one http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=117581.0 I made a teeny tiny scrapbook of a trip to venice with my friends.  However this was much more of a hassle then i thought it would be! I wanted to have the pockets the same way big paper bag books do, but what I didnt realize was that I would have to sew every page together! SO needless to say it took a lot longer then I had planned but I'm so excited with how it turned out! each page is  made of 2 sewn together squares of paper bag a little less than  2"x2"  and I made tiny squares with a paper punch with little paper tabs to come out of the pockets. a tiny strip of paper is acordian folded and glued together for a kind of make-shift binding and then used a piece of paper glued to the first and last piece as the front and back cover and supporting the binding with an elastic band to hold it shut.

and some of the pages:

and the rest are in my gallery:

20  Lindsey Holt copy in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by ModernDayDauphine on: July 28, 2006 09:47:52 PM

I was inspired by Lindsey Holt's work on her website www.ifmywallscouldt alk.com.  Its kind of cartoon versions of me and my soon to be roommate done in acrylic and a black felt tip marker.  I plan on writing something on the top and hanging it up in our dorm next year
