1  Re: Secret Santa 2009 Swap Party Gallery in The Swap Gallery by justforme on: December 19, 2009 11:58:19 AM
Oh wow. Everyone got such awesomes gifts. Glad you like yours Homerof2.
I'm late posting but had my grandson overnight and he just left. Now my turn. I absolutely love everything. My secret santa is still secret so I need to go do some reverse stalking to try and figure it out. Unless she just wants to fess up now?
Here goes. My package:
The cloth bags alone excited me.

Necklaces I have just been craving to own. My daughter tried to claim one of them, get it, she TRIED.

Soap that smells so very good, did you make it? Whoever you are. And yarn that'll be put to good use real quick. In case you can't see it the soap has a tree on it.

Then we have a needle book and some fabric.

I was so very spoiled. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now off to find out who you are.

2  Garden Trellis in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: November 18, 2009 08:00:44 AM
I've been wanting to make this quilt for so long. So busy with other crafts. So it is not quilted yet but that takes about a year (yes I hand quilt). But here is is on my quilting wall, a backwards vinyl tablecloth.

I have been wanting to learn this craft for so very long. Finally jumped in last Saturday and took a two hour class and made this. I love it and now want to make one for all the women in my life.

4  Scoodie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: November 10, 2009 01:54:54 PM
My dog is my only model so she will have to do. She's a good girl and patient with me though. Saw this here: http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2007/09/scoodie.html
although I did change some things in how it was made.
Very warm and comfy and now I just need the snow.

5  Cheater Apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: November 10, 2009 01:45:28 PM
I bought a panel from JoAnn's that is apron pieces. I traced the pieces so I could make another one. I did add buttons and lace to try and make it not look so cheap. The lace made all the difference in the world.

6  Swiffer WetJet & Duster in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: November 10, 2009 01:37:45 PM
So with the economy the way it is I figured I need to find ways to save my pennies. This is what I came up with. The duster is made from fleece and my oh my it works better then the bought one.
The wetjet I had to make twice. The first time I forgot to leave a place for the water to squirt out. One side is a used towel and the other side is a fiber duster for sweeping.

7  Mini Sampler in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: November 02, 2009 05:22:06 PM
So as I paced my house waited for fabric to be delivered I figured I would use up some of my scrap pieces. And since I had never done a mini or sampler quilt I decided to combine the two.
The quilt is 22.5"x29" and took 2 days to hand quilt.
Now the fabric I ordered is in and I did not go stir crazy in the process.

Here is a close up of 2 of the squares.

8  Gone Fishing in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: October 14, 2009 12:41:13 PM
My hubbie and 6 year old grandson love going fishing. So this was created. Now I too love the sport and even go alone at times but the wall hanging was already done.

And a close up of a real fly hook (hook part clip)
I went outside and cut a long stick to hang it. Thought it added to the quilt.
Thanks so much for looking.

9  GreenMan in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by justforme on: August 19, 2009 11:20:44 AM
I took a stained glass class a few months ago. Have been learning on suncatchers but this is my first full piece. I just love him although I still have a ways to go in making a good soldering bead.

10  Raccoon in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by justforme on: August 19, 2009 11:18:23 AM
My girlfriend loves raccoons. She goes through tons of dog food in the summer feeding them. They even bring their babies onto her porch to eat. She's been doing this for over 20 years so who knows how many generations have been taught where she lives.  Cheesy Anyway painted this for her for her birthday.
