1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Batwing style top pattern on: August 18, 2007 11:07:06 AM
Does anyone know of a pattern for a long-sleeved batwing type top?  I was thinking of just winging it (pun intended), but I'd rather have a pattern to follow.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Bean bag filler on: June 19, 2007 08:52:29 AM
I'm looking to make a bean bag chair for a friend.  I've found several patterns, but have no idea where to get filler.  People have suggested styrofoam packing peanuts, but I think they're too bulky. I know you can buy special foam beads for beanbags, where? (other than online).  I'm in Canada - Toronto to be specific.  Anyone have any ideas?
3  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Dye a winter/down jacket? on: November 21, 2006 10:25:45 AM
Hey there!

I have a cream-coloured down filled winter jacket that I now loathe.  I was thinking of having it dyed a different colour so I might get another season of wear from it.  I don't even know where to begin to find someplace that offers such a service.
Could I dye it myself?  The faux-fur trim is removeable and the washing instructions DO say it can be machine washed (just not dried).  Has anyone dyed anything like this before?
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / looking for russian hat pattern on: November 21, 2005 01:22:53 PM
Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone out there has knit a russian-style hat.  I can't seem to find a pattern.  I want something that looks like fur and has earflaps that tie at the top.  Check the link to see what I mean:

I've found a couple of patterns CALLED russian hats, but they look nothing like this.  Help!
