1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Circular Shrug / Vest - Scale Model - TUTORIAL on: February 13, 2010 03:14:11 PM
I know this thread is sort of dead, buuuttt.... I made a Circular Shrug!! It still needs a clasp or some ribbon or something. Time to go accessory shopping -- woo!

Do you like it? I'm very proud of the result... this thing took me ages!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / octopus finger puppet on: February 13, 2010 03:12:45 PM
A friend's birthday snuck up on me recently, so with only a few hours to spare, I whipped up this adorable octopus finger puppet for a cutesy little gift!

I didn't have glue, so his eyes are held on with white fabric paint... :S oops!

I used a pattern that I found online by the lovely Suzetta Williams: http://suzies-yarnie-stuff.blogspot.com/2009/08/suzies-octopus-finger-puppet.html
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / loofah bear on: February 13, 2010 02:59:06 PM
I made this adorable guy from a drugstore loofah, felt, thread, and patience. Sewing the limbs/head wasn't bad, but fastening them to the center of the loofah was frustrating! The loofah bear was gifted to a friend for Christmas and yes, my friend actually uses it to shower... it hasn't fallen apart yet, so I must have done something right Smiley haha.

We decided to do a fairly small swap, since I'm such a busy bee. I received a beautiful purply knit scarf which matches my purple winter coat SO WELL Smiley and a tea bag stuffie from my Wist aaaand the most amazing/hilarious pillowcase!!!!

I LOVE IT! Thank you SO MUCH, knit_core!

7  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Re: Bethnal Green Stitch 'n' Bitch on: May 30, 2008 09:29:22 AM
Hi all,

I've just moved to London (from Canada!) for a summer internship. If these SnB sessions are still happening, I would love to attend! I haven't got internet hooked up in my flat and Facebook is blocked from my office, so I can't check out the group for information... could someone let me know when the next one is?

Thanks!
