Cute purse and belt Ryoruki.  Here are the pieces I cut for a purse I am making.  I'm going to enter it in the nifty thrifty contest.

I got one throw pillow done today.  Nothing fancy, just your average throw pillow.  I gotta work tonight so I'll finish the other one tommorow.

13  My Maternity Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by weeza on: March 14, 2006 02:44:22 PM
So I was getting sick of wearing pants all the time and none of my pre preggo dresses fit me any more so I decided to make one.  The bodice is lined and I actually put in a zipper correctly...hurray.  Its so great to be able to wear something that doesn't have a waistband around my belly.

So I'm finally finished my maternity dress.  It took me almost a week because I haven't had much spare time.    It has a zipper in the back and this is the first time I put a zipper in an outfit without screwing it up.  Hurray!  I have more pics of it posted in the clothing section under the topic Maternity dress.

Sorry the pics so big.

So I didn't make anything this weekend but here's my craft for today.  I'm due to have a little girl in April and I'm working on her nursery bit by bit.  Today I worked on covering up the non functional elevator that her crib is pushed against.  I picked up some wooden letters from Wal-mart and painted them purple.  Then I picked up a pink fabric remnant from Joann and sewed it up into a sash.  I still need to paint over the signs on the wall but its starting to come together.

Thanks Ryoruki.  Super cute wallet by the way.  So I stopped giving myself a pity party and got back on the sewing machine.  I finished up an apron with an appliqued heart that I started a few weeks ago.  I feel better now.

So I was working on this cute patchwork baby bonnet and complete botched the whole thing...grrrrrr.  I'm too frustrated to work on anything else today.  I thought I'd post a skirt I made  a few months ago to remind myself that I can actually sew and to make myself feel better.  I'll have a new craft tommorow....I promise Smiley

20  Hello Kitty Diaper Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by weeza on: February 28, 2006 03:12:46 AM
I love Hello Kitty and I am due in 2 months so I just had to make a Hello Kitty Diaper Bag.  I used McCall's pattern #M4403.  It was a pretty straight forward pattern and not too difficult to sew.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I do need to work on my zipper skills however.  The zipper turned out good but it took me a while to get it that way.  Anyways it was good practice and I hope I can breeze through inserting a zipper next time.  Thanks for looking.
