So I've been teaching my friend how to sew and she wanted to make my daughter a dress for her first project.  She decided on a little hippie dress to wear to her first festival.  I thought my friend did a great job and wanted to show it off.  Maybe I'll make a craftster member out of her yet.

Thank you so much SapphireWind.  I absolutely love the dress.  The colors are awesome and the embroidery is just great.  I couldn't have hoped for anything nicer.  It fits my taste perectly.  And the dress for my little girl is awesome as well.  Can't wait till she gets big enough for it.

I think my husband got a little overwhelmed by our super pink hello kitty nursery so this was the end result.  After watching the Simpsons episode where Moe give Maggie a moebile my husband decided to make one of his own.

I've made a few hippie style skirts so I thought it was time to try my hand at a dress.  I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to wear it after I have my baby in the next few weeks.  I also can't wait till the Hippy Dress Swap starts so I can try my hand at another one.

Finished my husband's froggy pj bottoms today:

This is my 2nd time sewing a pair of pants.  I was happy with everything except for the crotch area.  Didn't fit quite as nice as I would have liked.

And this is the awesome logo my husband designed for me.  My dad has a vinyl business and made some iron on decals for me.

Before:  Plain old chunky mary janes.  Cute but I didn't wear them too much.


After:  It took many many hours and hundreds of rhinestones but I'm finally finished.  Well at least I finished one shoe:)  Not sure where I'll wear them but I definately won't get lost in a crowd. 

I finished my purse today.  Now I gotta think of what I want to work on tommorow.

RAINBOW PURSE

I made a small purse (about 7" x 8") out of scraps from a skirt I made.  The interfacing was leftover too.  I'll say no more than a $2 cost for the fabric and interfacing.  I got the zipper for for $.75.  Puts my total at $2.75.  I didn't take any pics of the back or the inside lining but it is the same green material that the strap is made of.  Its a bright happy little purse perfect the spring and summer months ahead.
