1  First Scarf: Bag it or Finish it? in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by obsoletepostergirl on: September 25, 2004 05:35:44 PM

When I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet, rather than looking for a book or friend to learn from I found the chain stitch on the internet and started to make a scarf. All this was without a pattern or general knowledge of silly things like gauge. Now I have a scarf that is complete but as the picture shows, it is knobby and the gauge shifts pretty drastically. However, as the first thing I have ever crocheted I am a little attached to it so I decided to take a poll. Should I unravel it and remake it or continue and keep it knowing I might never wear it because of all its problems?

Here are a few that I have done. This is a great opening to ask about something that has been bothering me for awhile. Last year, I started embroidered modified mendhi designs on patches of denim I had laying around but I have now idea what to do with them. I have four of them, each is around 5in x 4in. Any ideas?

My best find was this lamp. Originally a hideous gold (the tone made to match your avocado carpet), it transformed with a coat of spray paint.
