this is my second time making a doll. the first one was about 9 years ago for a high school project.

this one is for my daughter's 5th birthda.

my daughter and i went to the fabric store to get the supplies. we had a very hard time finding the fabric for her body. my daughter had no
problems picking out the for the clothing. after about 45 min at the store i found this really awesome feeling suede fabric in the
back interior scraps sale table. it feels just like our hairless cat!

she wanted pink and green for her hair. so she got four shades of green and four of pink. the poppet kinda looks like a candy raver now.

here she is

my daughter's best friend's birthday is in two weeks and i will be making a matching one with blue eyes for her.

thank you ghilie so much for this pattern!!!!! you rock!

15  Re: Folded Fabric Flower pin/hair clip tutorial in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tiggeret86 on: February 28, 2006 09:10:47 PM

i couldn't stop... Grin

i had all of these samples adding up... every month i get a bunch of 1.5" random samples and i couldnt figure out what to do with them...

some of the flowers go smooshed after my daughter got her hands on them... so some look a bit weird...

i dont have anything to put in the center of them... so they are unfinished till i figure out what goes there.
