11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Fire Mountain Gems vs. Rings & Things? on: June 26, 2006 02:00:46 PM
I was just wondering which company, in your experience, is cheaper? So far I have only bought from Fire Mountain Gems and I love it, but I think it's mostly due to ease of using their website and the fact I didn't have to pay for my first catalog. Any opinions? Thanks! ^_^
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Stars, skulls, and sweet peas! on: June 14, 2006 07:46:14 PM
I made four new items  the other day, and I really like how they turned out!

This is made differently than my other star toggles... I found acrylic beads that won't go through the hole in the stars (YAY!) so I matched up all the colors.

Made two new kilt pins, slight variations of each other:

My favorite, a sweet pea bracelet! I've been dying to make this since I bought the pea charms, and I finally got to! It has a surprising delicate feel to it for being food! ^_^

**edited to add one I just finished making!
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Skull, Guns, and Dogs on Kilt Pins on: June 11, 2006 09:07:20 PM

I love how far down the gun on this one dangles!

I made the Snoopy button out of vintage origami paper from the 1960s. I thought it'd be an adorable addition to the pink dog!
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Get custom mini mirrors made? on: June 05, 2006 10:37:15 PM
Hi, all! I've searched all night and can't find what I want. Does anyone know of someone that can create custom miniture mirrors?? No frames, just a circle. It can be either acrylic or glass. Or even if I can get glass circles cut and learn to make them mirrored on my own? Although already done is preferred. ^_^

Thank you!

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Tons of Toggles! (Bracelets that is!) Img heavy. on: May 29, 2006 10:19:18 PM
I was very busy this past week making lots of toggle bracelets! I put a lot of them up on my website (www.titancia.net) but I wanted to show off my favorites:

16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Sushi/Icecream Felt Pins and Italian Charm Dangles on: April 23, 2006 01:09:40 PM

This is the first time I've made felt pins, and I love how they came out! Hopefully you think so too. Smiley I've been trying to be more diverse in the kinds of crafts I try so I have more of a variety on my website. I'll definitely making more of these! They're so much fun. I just hope they sell now. Tongue

I love these, too! I actually made some dangles (I didn't take any photos of though) with some beads from my dad's great grandmother's jewelry and my mom's mom's jewelry so we would have some dangles with meaning on our bracelet. I enjoy being able to show them to people and say, "This is part of my family history, it represents my greatgrandmother and my grandmother."
17  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / My First Scrapbook Page! Toto and the Wizard of Oz on: April 23, 2006 01:04:32 PM
My mom's in a Wizard of Oz group and they're doing a scrapbook swap, 8-1/2 by 11 inches so it goes through the mail easier. Well, I kinda formed the page in my head then ordered the supplies for it. It's not done yet, I need to add a couple of photos of Toto, but I haven't decided to do that yet. My mom wants to incorporate some sort of thing where the Emerald City opens and shows a photo of Toto, so I need to see how I'm going to do that. I expect to make it a glittery green. Smiley My mom also wants to add a small pair of ruby red slippers somewhere because it's her favorite aspect of the movie, so I've got to figure that out, too.

I'm just quite proud of this because it was my first time and I didn't make any royal screwups! Smiley

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I tried the CD Necklace thing! [Added more!] on: April 23, 2006 12:53:12 PM

The back and the front. Instead of sealing it with nail polish I backed it in felt. I used E600 glue, which I swear by.

A collection of the CD pieces I kept. I threw some purple ones I made in the trash because they came out terribly. I love the shine the oven baking gives them!!

This CD was tinted blue so I strung it on a blue cord.

The gold chain on this is a bit short for my neck, but it's still cute!

I really thought she'd get ticked that zapped them in the microwave then cooked them in the convection oven. (22, living at home cuz I can't afford to go to school if I don't, so yeah.) Surprisingly, she was pretty impressed! I think she might even want to try it. She thinks they look like little skirts and wants to make a pin out of one.

I think Mom thinks I'm going to put them on my website for sale, but I'm not too sure. Maybe for kicks.
