3.  Melt 1/4 lb. butter and 1/4 lb. margarine in a saucepan

How many cups is 1/4 lb. butter and margarine? I can't do measurements in lbs. Well I can, but I don't want to get out the scale if I don't need to. Hehe. What does that convert to in kg?

So cute!! I NEVER travel, and neither does anyone in my family, but if they ever start, I know what they're getting from me!
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re:Used Bicycle Parts on: November 27, 2003 04:36:09 PM
I think the stacked up circle things...i forget the proper name for them...anyways, they'd make a super cute pillar holder if you just put a pillar candle in the middle of them.
5  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re:Frosted glass -- How to make your own frosted glassware! on: November 27, 2003 04:32:41 PM
Those are absolutely fabulous! Did you do it on the shotglasses too? Do you have any pictures of those? I think this would be a great inexpensive gift to add to my brothers present, because I know he's low on glasses. I never even thought about doing something like that for him. I think I'm going to use computer dingbats of Star Trek and Family Guy characters for him. I think he will love it! Man, this has given me so many ideas!

I wish I hadn't seen this tonight though because I really want to run out and buy the stuff to do it with RIGHT NOW, but I've got a test I have to study for.

I don't have a site anymore because I just didn't have time to keep it updated, but I did use Homesite 4.5 by Allaire for my HTML and such. It's a great program. You can download a trial which never expires from their website. The version I downloaded expired in April of 1999, and I'm still using it. :)It comes with a 30 day trial, so after thirty days it asks if you wish to purchase the program or continue using the trial. So continue I do.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re:Ideas for Christmas gifts on: November 23, 2003 09:08:48 AM
For the girls in my family I am also taking the "pampering route." I made record bowls, and I'm going to fill them with handmade bath bombs, bath salts, body scrubs, etc.

For my grandma and grandpa, who love the outdoors, I am making a bird feeder, also out of an old record. My grandparents love anything homemade. As well for my grandma I am going to give her three painted terra cotta pots with citronella candles for up at the lake.

My best friend is getting two pillows made from pink fun fur. She got a pillow from one of her aunts last year that looks like it's made out of a skinned cat, so its been an ongoing joke with us that I was going to make her a "porn" pillow for Christmas. I'm going to get some kind of crazy tassle like stuff for around the edges as well. It's going to be kind of a joke, but I know she'll like it.

My mom recently got new furniture at home, and the throw pillows we had at home no longer match, so she is going to also be receiving two new forest green pillows.

The guys in my life are getting boughten goods, because I just don't know what to make them.

In addition, because I'm a poor college student, I am going to wrap all my presents in newspaper, and decorate it with Christmas ribbon, and those lucky ribbon stars.
