42  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Colors? on: November 15, 2009 07:22:58 PM
So I have white walls, black funiture, a blond wood coffee table, Blue (caribbian and dark) accents, a grey chair and a rug with blue (caribbian) purple (dark), cream, and green (kinda a smushed pea color).  I need some new art and bought 15 canvas squares to make into a custom art peice. Im going to ask each relitive to paint a peice after thanksgiving dinner. ALl the parts are going to be done in abstract design (so they look good together) but I cant decide what colors (4 or 5) would be good colors to offer for paint (so it looks good in my living room). Any ideas?
A bad pictre

46  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / BUT I wanna be a princess on: October 11, 2009 09:49:48 PM
But I got no cash. I have a crown and two dresses. Im a preschool teacher so it needs to be approprate.
dress one:

The black part comes off but then it looked to plain. with the black part it just SCREAMS  I need a belt since theres a gap between the black top and were the bottom skirt part starts.

same dress with green ribbion trim.

Second dress:

I spent 5 dollars on this last halloween for a tinkerbell costume which was great. I can do anything with this dress and not feel bad cause it was cheap. I also have a pair of green tights from last year.

So how does one chage these into a nice princess costume? I can do all sorts of crafts.
47  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / HELP Scrapbook for BFF on: August 16, 2009 01:52:24 PM
Ok my best freind has 4 kids and like no time to scapbook So I want to scrap all the photos I took of her kids from this year. theres ALOT of photos from numerous events (and wild evenings in my back yard). So I havent made a book in along time. I was trying to come up with a idea to Unify the whole scrapbook but I have no idea where to start. I did my other BFF's in a song theme. Theres four kids ( Boy 10, girl 9, girl 4, girl 2) plus our freinds (samantha 26, Me 24-25) and my Bff and her husband. Plus theres lots of photos with my sisters and my family. So many people, How do you make it work? Im feeling overwelmed. Is there a easy way to start? Is there a easy way to make it look great? How do you orgizine your scrapbooks? Do you do it by event? If so what do you do when not all your photos are from events? I have lots and lots of random shots. Ive got around 300 (ducks head) photos too. Eeeek! Depending on how this goes I may do mini scrapbooks for the rest of my family. Also does anyone have cute ideas for saving memories from the year? I want a fill in the blank type thing that I can type up (or print) to fill in. I can do this without her knowing too since I teach all 4 of her children throught the day.

I just need HELP!!! I havnet made a book in forever and I love this board (and you'll are so nice)
48  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Happy birthday to me (dollhouse) on: August 05, 2009 08:03:57 PM
My best freind took her kids rummage saling and found this crappy ole dollhouse. SHe knew i would love it (and fixing it). So what colors should I use on the outside?

This house is almost as tall as me. Im 5 foot and its up to my chest

This shows a close up of the nice porch, funky knob (to oepn it) and the front door (big white blob)

Inside. 7 yes, 7 rooms and theres a closet (that opens) under the stairs

The cool funiture they left inside. Most of it is really retro 60s.

50  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / One room living? on: July 18, 2009 12:18:48 PM
ok im nuts but to help out my family im considering doing some one room living, (aka a tiny basemnt room). Its 16 by 16. In this space I must fit a cocuh (futon of course), A tv, two nightstands (or endtables), A chair, a bookcase (or some vertical storage), a microwave and a desk of some sort.  I dont have a desk yet so I guess I need to figure that out. Its a tiny room and im moving from a two bedroom aparment. Im willing to get rid of alot but I really need storage. I will have a closet for clothes and a hallway leading to the bathroom that will be shared with the person in the other room (AKA my MA! ick). I can paint but I dont know what colors I want. So what would you do if this was your space? Im into earthy tones, turqouise, being confortable. I havent given any thought to a theme but my current bedroom has lots of browns and bamboo (i like the rustic look of it). The living room is alot of blacks. I love the look of brown, black and turquoise. I know that the big brown squared quilt will make a large decision on colors. I wont get rid of it since it was orginally $400 but I got it for $50. I am also fond of musicals and a nice uncluttered lifestyle.  As for storage, I need somthing for DVDS, videos, blankets, scrapbooking, magizines, Crafts and some monkeys (ok mabey alot of monkeys, there my one weakness).  I thought of somthing like this":
with my current tv stand inbetween to hold my tv and dvds (I dont wanna get rid of my tv stand since I paid $75 for it 6 months ago). Any suggestions? Sorry Im long-winded!
