31  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / How to make kitty happy? on: October 02, 2010 09:37:32 AM
So due to the ecomony Im being forced to take my 3 furry babies and move into a tiny basement bedroom (with seprate craft space!). This means my 3 babies have to get along with moms 3 cats (who live next door to my room and have full roam of the basement (as will mine)). Most of my 3 have lived with at least one of moms so this isnt the problem. The problem is I want to make this a happy room and spoil the kittys more. I am planning on making wall mounted cat steps up to my tiny windows. What else can I do? I have one cat who likes to play, one cat that likes being up high and one cat whos whole exisitance revolves around finding someone to pet her.

33  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / shared crafting space on: September 19, 2010 09:54:51 AM
I have to share my craft space when I move home. My sisters (10,11) need a bigger playspace so were gonna share my section of basement (which neighbors theirs). I trust my girls not to mess with my things but they have a nice little freind who I dont trust. So far I have a kitchen table, a locking footlocker, and a futon (which I WILL NOT give up) and a smallish rug (basement floors are cold). I bead, I sew, I scrapbook and paint. Any advice on how to keep my suplies safe from little hands?
34  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / ugly blue rug? on: September 06, 2010 06:16:48 PM
So I have this hidious blue rug that I painted squares on. So Im planning on spray painting the whole thing black. Now heres my question, what could I use to trace a dead body style chalk mark picture on the rug that won't stain my dear dead body's (love ya ma) clothes?
35  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / What color to use? on: August 29, 2010 04:57:08 PM
My walls are white (I hate renting). My favorite chair is black, my bed is red cherry. Now the question is should I repaint the dresser? Its black with turquiose drawer fronts.
36  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / bedroom and living room blues on: August 21, 2010 09:27:26 PM
As you can tell the bedroom is small. In its current layout there's about a foot between the end of the bed and the dresser. The problem is I have no idea what to move where!  I know I do love the simple art above my bed and would like to keep it in the room somewere. The closet is empty excpet for my other dresser (I have a big wardrobe).

The living room:
I hate the way my living room is laid out. The problem is that I only have 3 walls since the dining room is attached to the kitchen. I also hate the half black tv stand, but paint comes comes right off (its coated particle board). Im up to any ideas you may have. I would love to have this chair    somewere where I can hang my flute rack above.
