2  HELP! what do I do with this horible room? in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by flying_babyb on: August 15, 2012 05:34:48 PM

layout

This is the wall crossed from the bed. The entertainment center holds my books, cds, wine bottles, DVDs, and video games. The second tv unfortunately is a necessity so I can watch DVDs (my player is incompatible with my newer tv)

This is the wall next to the door. The huge dresser works great to hold all my clothes. With the door open (which it usually is) you don’t see all the clothes and message boards hanging there.

The bed does fold up to a futon (and is usually made),  There is not junk on the floor most of the time and a small table that goes next to the black chair (aka my desk)

I don’t like this room at all right now. I want to keep the colors (turquoise, brown, black, and cranberry) but am willing to repaint stuff. Everything serves a purpose, if not two! I am intending to move out hopefully by Christmas so I don’t want to do anything major. Any ideas on how to fix my little dump? the quilt is solid black and could use some sprucing.

3  Vintage looking flowers? Yea! free! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by flying_babyb on: August 15, 2012 03:40:55 PM
I had a bunch a zip tie leftovers (only used the zipper part) so I had these 4 inch parts left over. It seemed like such a waste to toss them so I grabbed some tape, taped them then well....

Totally dosent do them justice! they just shimmer so bright when ever the lights are on. Took me less than a hour (not including dry time) to make them! Easy and fun!

6  basement craft space in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by flying_babyb on: October 09, 2010 10:51:02 AM
How do I make this disaster into a craft space? I have gotten premission to cover the wall under the stairs. I also intend to extend the shelf under the stairs out for a desk. The metal thing is open on the other side so it can be used to hold magizines. Should I spray paint it? As the second picture shows, im stuck dealing with old pipes and only get a curtain for a side wall. my space is about 7 feet deep and around 8 ft accrossed. What can I do to make this look less basementy and more crafty? I do have a rug that will cover some of the floor.

8  bedroom and living room blues in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by flying_babyb on: August 21, 2010 09:27:26 PM
As you can tell the bedroom is small. In its current layout there's about a foot between the end of the bed and the dresser. The problem is I have no idea what to move where!  I know I do love the simple art above my bed and would like to keep it in the room somewere. The closet is empty excpet for my other dresser (I have a big wardrobe).

The bed and closet

View from the door

The living room:
I hate the way my living room is laid out. The problem is that I only have 3 walls since the dining room is attached to the kitchen. I also hate the half black tv stand, but paint comes comes right off (its coated particle board). Im up to any ideas you may have. I would love to have this chair    somewere where I can hang my flute rack above.

10  Colors? in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by flying_babyb on: November 15, 2009 07:22:58 PM
So I have white walls, black funiture, a blond wood coffee table, Blue (caribbian and dark) accents, a grey chair and a rug with blue (caribbian) purple (dark), cream, and green (kinda a smushed pea color).  I need some new art and bought 15 canvas squares to make into a custom art peice. Im going to ask each relitive to paint a peice after thanksgiving dinner. ALl the parts are going to be done in abstract design (so they look good together) but I cant decide what colors (4 or 5) would be good colors to offer for paint (so it looks good in my living room). Any ideas?
A bad pictre
