1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / our new ottoman on: April 20, 2006 02:00:44 PM
I"m thinking this goes here but I'm not sure, here it is anyway...

My boyfriend has had this ottoman for years.  The top was done in a thick tweed material and it was ripped to shreds.  I was tired of having the crappy thing in my living room with the stuffing all sticking through.  I've never done this sort of thing before so on a whim I went and got a yard and a half of this cool fabric that's a light tweed with pinks and oranges and blues in it.  I just tore the old stuff off and tacked the new on.  I think it turned out pretty good, a little lopsided maybe but I like it.  My bf hates the new colors  Smiley.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / More pots...yeah! on: April 20, 2006 01:48:26 PM
I painted these over the weekend to start some seeds in.  I'm really happy with how they turned out.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Some of my first painted terra cotta pots on: April 11, 2006 05:17:52 PM
I'm addicted to painting terra cotta pots!  These are just a few of the many pots I've painted.  I'll try to add more pics later.  I made these to fit inside the wrought iron flower "bed" my mom got me.  They're pretty simple.  I've made others with stencils and what not.  Hope you like.

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / my favorite black and whites on: April 10, 2006 08:37:31 PM
I got this idea somewhere on craftster, so if it looks familiar you know why.  I took four of my favorite black and whites that I took of areas around my house.  I then matted them on pieces of white cardboard I painted black.  To hang them I got black ribbon with white pokla dots and used one piece to connect all four prints.  It was fun to do and pretty inexpensive.  I just like that it's something different.

sorry about the dead tree in the foreground of the one pic.  It was alive and well then died shortly after I hung the pics.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / beaded bud vases on: April 06, 2006 05:00:28 PM
So I recently made these beaded bud vases out of various glass jars and plastic test tubes.  I used this cool funky wire that's super bendable and some random beads I had.  The test tube is hung up by a suction cup but you could also use a nail.  I used hot glue to hold the beads on and to attach the ends of the wire.  It has a tendancy to come off so I need to find another glue to use on glass that dries fast.  Hope you like them!

I hope these pics worked, it's my first time!
6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / weeping willow vine wreaths on: February 18, 2006 12:30:38 PM
My sister in-law gave me a bunch of weeping willow vines that she made into wreaths.  She used to make dream catchers out of them and they are really cool, problem is, I'm not sure what to do with them.  Any suggestions?
