1  our new ottoman in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by purplesky on: April 20, 2006 02:00:44 PM
I"m thinking this goes here but I'm not sure, here it is anyway...

My boyfriend has had this ottoman for years.  The top was done in a thick tweed material and it was ripped to shreds.  I was tired of having the crappy thing in my living room with the stuffing all sticking through.  I've never done this sort of thing before so on a whim I went and got a yard and a half of this cool fabric that's a light tweed with pinks and oranges and blues in it.  I just tore the old stuff off and tacked the new on.  I think it turned out pretty good, a little lopsided maybe but I like it.  My bf hates the new colors  Smiley.

2  More pots...yeah! in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by purplesky on: April 20, 2006 01:48:26 PM
I painted these over the weekend to start some seeds in.  I'm really happy with how they turned out.

4  Some of my first painted terra cotta pots in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by purplesky on: April 11, 2006 05:17:52 PM
I'm addicted to painting terra cotta pots!  These are just a few of the many pots I've painted.  I'll try to add more pics later.  I made these to fit inside the wrought iron flower "bed" my mom got me.  They're pretty simple.  I've made others with stencils and what not.  Hope you like.

5  my favorite black and whites in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by purplesky on: April 10, 2006 08:37:31 PM
I got this idea somewhere on craftster, so if it looks familiar you know why.  I took four of my favorite black and whites that I took of areas around my house.  I then matted them on pieces of white cardboard I painted black.  To hang them I got black ribbon with white pokla dots and used one piece to connect all four prints.  It was fun to do and pretty inexpensive.  I just like that it's something different.

sorry about the dead tree in the foreground of the one pic.  It was alive and well then died shortly after I hung the pics.
