1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Budding Brooch Obsession on: April 06, 2008 04:39:28 AM
Hey, everyone!  I wanted to see if I could get any feedback for this brooch.  It's something of a departure for me, creatively - in fact, when I was making it it had about 3 other projects branch off it.

Happy me, crowded worktable.  You know how it is!  Let me know what you think:

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Sticky Drawers/Adventures in shellac on: December 07, 2007 03:59:22 PM
(If this is covered in another forum or even in a FAQ, please point my newbie butt towards it - my apologies if this is in the wrong spot!)

I recently repainted an old wooden jewelry box, and it turned out well. But I shellac'd it and now its drawers are getting mighty sticky.  What on earth do I do now?  I had some limited success with a tiny trinket box (I roughed up the edges with an emery board a little) - but I would like something a little more...professional?  nondamaging?

Thank you for your patience Smiley

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / first bookmaking/maiden post on: November 25, 2007 03:14:46 PM
Hey, everyone - I've finally decided to de-lurk with this, the finsihed product of my first bookmaking experience.  Here's a link to the image, as i dont have enough posts to stick it in here yet:

Pardon it's blurriness - I used my phone's cam and he mod-podge was still drying on the cover....questions, comments, and general hobnobbing are welcome Wink  I'll be perusing all appropriate faq's to find anything better than modpodge for this.  I'm "so" doing it again when I have the time!
