1  My first two purses ever!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by renee2008 on: August 13, 2006 02:19:25 PM
Well, I finished both of these purses about 3 weeks ago. Since no one seems to know what's wrong with my sewing machine, I had to do it all by hand, that's right By Hand!! It was hard work, but well worth it when I saw the end product. There was no specific pattern, I just did whatever came to my head. The first one was made fom a pink blouse that was stained. The second one was from a big purple skirt.

Here is the pink tote made from a blouse. BTW, those are cupcakes, not parachutes, lol

Here is the purple purse..Its my favorite. I dont have any interfacing so its a little flimsy

..So do ya like?

2  need help reconstructing shoes.... in Shoes: Discussion and Questions by renee2008 on: March 19, 2006 09:03:41 PM
Hi!

My camera's on strike right now, but anyway, i have these white "leather"  mary janes that look so ugly to me..This is the closest resemblance to them

Mine are similar to those..minus the checkered pattern and mine were 3 dollars, not $260 like these.

Anyway, im stuck with this project.  should i use paint? fabric? what kind ofr paint or fabric? so many questions so little time. does anyone have any ingenious ideas or pictures for ispiration?

Thanks

3  "logotype" stencils.i guess?? need help in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by renee2008 on: March 19, 2006 12:38:16 AM
HI ALL!

I finally bought some freezer paper. Now I want to make a witty shirt. I dont want it to have a saying on it but I want it to have a company logo thats nationally known, such as wal-mart or something. I can"t think of the word for it but I want it to have a logo but with but with different words than the original. I don"t know what to Google in order to find these logos though.

This is the only design that is similar to what im talking about>>>

....(THIS ONE IS TOO CONTROVERSIAL TO ME)

BUT I HOPE IM MAKING SENSE..I JUST WANT THE DESIGN TO LOOK THE SAME, BUT FOR IT TO HAVE DIFFERENT WORDS. CAN SUM1 HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT I CAN GOOGLE. IM SURE THERES SOME MORE OF THESE OUT THERE.

(SORRY ABOUT ALL CAPS. MY KEYBOARD IS ON STRIKE:)

4  sweater vest questions in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by renee2008 on: February 23, 2006 10:58:57 PM
Hi everyone! I hope I'm posting in the right area. But anyway, im new to the crafting thing and i've been wanting to do a recon. clothing project form a while. I've decided that i wanted to make a sweater vest. I dont have the "funds" right now to buy any material so the two potential shirts i'll be making it out of are a red turtleneck sweater that looks somewhat like this (digital camera is broken)....

i also have a grey sweater..but i cant find a good look alike to show you all.

Anyway, it may seem easy to you veteran crafsters, but I dont know what to do with the sleeve part after i cut the sleeves off. I also don't know how to "fix" the neck line.I dont know how to explain it, but i want the sleeves and neck line to look somewhat like this...

Every tutorial i see on here is for knitters, but im a rookie so all i want to do is reconstruct these shirts. thanks in advance if you can help.
