A friend asked me to make her some stuff to give away at a function in december. nice order, i get to make whatever i want! lol :-) So, here is about half the stuff i've doen already. i posted earlier i think of other things. Lots of hats from patterns by dot, as well as the professional hat, a news boy hat, gulf shores hat, and the scarf from happy hooker, and cell phone holders. What do ya think??
Except I don't have a dremel, so I had to heat up a needle over a candle, with pliers and melt a hole in. and i learned a lesson. make the hole from the palm side of the hand out, that way there's no burn marks on the outside of the hand!
The only chain i had was bright shiny silver, and i wanted a darker chain, so i used black beads, cheap ones from michaels. they're all different shapes. also some dark clear greyish ones put in too.
I made this bracelet this morning. I was bored at work, and the internet was down, so I got to do some beadwork! It's black and various other blues/purple. I finished it off with a barrel clasp. My fav type of closure really, looks a bit neater than other clasps.
I don't know if this qualifies as a craft, but it's something i made, that i want to share! whew, this was a definite learning experience.
I made this maze/Labyrinth yesterday, for a community bbq my office was having. It took about 2 1/2 hours to finish. I used 8 inch cedar stakes. I'm not sure of the amount of stakes I used. But I ordered 220 and i used probably 200 or so.
I love this bracelet! I made it a few months ago, but misplaced it!
So, here it is. It's made of glass beads from a kit I got from Michaels. One of my first times using tiger tail. I love that stuff.
It's hard to believe I actually made something that doesn't have black in it! lol
Please forgive the weird angles. I put the bracelet on my right hand, and tried to take the pics with my left....lol. The sideview i had to take upside down. I don't know why I just didn't switch the bracelet to my left, to make it easier. Oh well.
This is my first batch of shrinkies. Done a month or two ago. I've done a couple more since then. I must say, I kinda like the results better, from pencil crayon than sharpie. But then, maybe if i get the micro point sharpies, i may change my mind. Hubby brought one home from work. a black one. i haven't used it yet.
I think I put too much of the spray sealant stuff on. The sharpies kinda bled a little bit. Most of the designs are from the shrink jewllery book i bought. except the zombie and butterfly, that i did an internet search. The blue butterfly- the wings are actually side views of skulls.
