1  Re: Be AWESOME (Redux) GALLERY! (Sendout March 23) in The Swap Gallery by RedMenace on: April 09, 2015 05:26:34 PM
I have received my AWESOME swap package from wendiek! I mentioned that my son was in need of a tote bag for his library books (we currently have to double-up or triple-up plastic grocery bags... for shame!) and Wendie made him an adorable bag and matching zippered pouch from woodland creature fabric and made me my own tote bag and pouch from map fabric (I love maps!) too! I will be so proud to bring these to the library on Monday! They're box-bottom totes with french seams, and they're beautifully made:

Sorry the picture's kinda sucky Undecided (I just got a smart phone finally, but I haven't figured it out completely yet) but rest assured that the bags are awesome Cheesy Thank you so much, Wendie, I had a great time swapping with you!

Holy gallery explosion, Batman! What great packages, I love the office set, so cute! And the knit bassett hound is adorable!

I received my package from hlillie, and I am so thrilled with everything she made for me!

Group photo! Here you can see the bandana tote bag, which is already holding my current magazine and my kindle Grin

A zombie doll made from zombie fabric! She even managed to incorporate my love of houndstooth Cheesy

A car wallet for my son, you can't tell so much from the picture, but there are pockets for holding toy cars, and the whole thing folds up so he can take it along (as shown in the group photo above) I literally gasped when I opened this and I'm going to give it to him tonight when we go out for dinner.

And finally my personal favorite, a smash book! It's so beautiful I can't wait to use it. Here's the front cover and a few of my favorite pages:

Thank you so much for a wonderful swap, hlillie, I love love love everything!

I received my package from beeker and I was totally spoiled! Grin

First, not one, but two stockings! One for me, and one for my little man (his is still full of candy!)

Normally I would post a pic of everything all together, but I literally could not fit everything in a single picture Shocked So in no particular order:

A tinsel wreath, awesome rainbow twirly scarf, gift tags made from old sheet music, and a beautiful gourd birdhouse (I was so so excited when I opened this up, I was really hoping for a birdhouse after stalking you!)

Here's a close-up of the birdhouse, with beautiful flowery woodburning decorations

Sheet music gift tags, lots of different shapes and sizes

Two skeins of hand-spun yarn... I've been knitting for probably 15 years now, and this is my first hand-spun yarn, I love it!

Adorable felted owl pouch and a set of quilted pouches

Matching roll-ups for me and my son (his has crayons and other portable art supplies inside... and a little doggy finger puppet who was quickly snatched up!)

Beautifully embroidered hot/cold pad

Fabrics, an owl ring and bracelets - I looove the green bracelet, I haven't taken it off Cheesy

And lots and lots more! Snowman mints and gum, tons of beads, sushi erasers, a puppy stuffed toy (my son grabbed the puppy as soon as he saw it, declared "I love him" and started feeding him the sushi erasers... adorable Grin) all sorts of little toys for my son, yummy bath soap, lip balm, a photo wallet (I really needed one of these!), ornaments, candy..... the list goes on and on!

Phew! That was a seriously awesome package and the photos really don't do it justice! Thank you so so much beeker Grin Your stocking is on its way to you too, due to arrive tomorrow, I believe.

Hooray, hubby's home and I can finally post pics of my awesome swap loot from sweetyetevil!

Here's the whole package together (minus some candy and Christmas-themed cupcake liners already in use!)

And here's the adorable ocean-themed stocking by itself, modeled next to its recipient!

An embroidery hoop with a standing mixer... how did you know I actually own a red standing mixer?!

Hello Kitty beaded bracelet!

Fused glass and sparkly resin pendants (this was the best pic I could get, but they're really pretty!)

Embroidered felt gingerbread ornament = love!

And my personal favorite, woodburned birdie coasters, these are so awesome!

Oops, didn't get a pic of the baby bib Embarrassed but it's already absorbing some drool as I type!

Thank you so much sweetyetevil for a wonderful swap!

I received my birthday package from ivoryh1632 this morning, and I got spoiled! Grin Two yards of adorable teddy bear flannel (I've been going through flannel like it's going out of style, so this will get used up in no time!), a CD of Deceptively Delicious recipes (maybe now I can get my husband to eat a vegetable!), 10 different aromatherapy bath salts, and the most awesome stenciled onesies I've ever seen!

Here's the entire package (minus the card which had already made it into my card display before I shot the pic!)

Look at all the bath salts Shocked Enough for 10 baths or 20 foot soaks!

They're all different scents, for different effects

And the most awesome Harry Potter inspired onesies, front and back:

Thank you SO MUCH Ivory, I'll be enjoying these birthday gifts for a long time to come Cheesy

Here it is, with green onyx for me and red coral for my baby-to-be:

You know I had to go grab a chain and put it on!

Thank you so much phoenixfiredesigns, I love my tree of life Grin And have fun at Disney, I'm definitely jealous!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe how much awesome stuff has been going on here... this is my first look at the gallery, and I just have to say WOW! Shocked

I've received my awesome package from SilverMoon, and I got my very own house elf! Complete with tea cozy hat, tea towel dress, and her own cleaning supplies! Her name is Dusty, since that's her favorite chore to do Smiley

Here she is getting acquainted with the vacuum cleaner, showing off her goods!

And here she is just gettin' loved!

Thank you so much SilverMoon! Your awesomeness is on its way to you, too Wink

OhEmGee, I'm so sorry it has taken so long for me to post pics! I received my package from ghilie the day before Thanksgiving, behold my Christmas Stocking glory:

The lovely stocking, with sparkly snowflake sequins. This thing is huge, I can't wait until DH has to fill it next year Cheesy

A lovely apron in one of my all-time favorite fabrics modelled in a most idiotic fashion by moi (I know you can't tell because of my pose, but it's really beautiful and well-made!)

And this may be the first time I've put her down, but she demanded to be photographed... she's a bit of a ham! My punkin! (ghilie, you are most talented Shocked)

And here's the entire package, including some Christmas-themed rubber stamps (How have I made it so many years without a "do not open before Christmas" stamp?!) and some really beautiful snowflake soaps. Hmm, there seems to be a whole bunch of candy missing... but I think we all know how that goes, right? Roll Eyes

Thank you so much ghilie, I love my package, and I'm really glad you like yours too Cheesy

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

The clay came with the sparkly-ness already, I used "silver" and "pearl." Also I did make the bag... that was the part that took the longest, actually, because I don't sew. I had to get a friend to help Grin Here's some pics I took before I sent, I was especially proud of the drawstring!

I've received my OTT from rorriM_esoR, and it's a tiny book-safe music box! It even comes with its own untold (until now Wink) bit of Hogwarts history.

What's this? An unassuming book found by Hermione in the Hogwarts library:

Wait a minute... it's not a book, it's a music box, believed to be given to Helga Hufflepuff by Godric Gryffingor!

And it's full of memorabilia from their courtship... there's a sequence of love letters and a bumblebee bracelet, made by GG for "My Dearest Bumblebee"

closeup of bracelet (love!)

Thank you so much rorriM_esoR, I absolutely adore everything, and you can let Mrs. Weasley know that this Hogwarts artifact is in good hands! Cheesy
