I came up wtih this, might make a little lapghan with it or something using different color beetles.

WOW this is great, you definately outdid my square! Wink This would make a great baby blanket..i may have to use it to make one for one of my many pregnant friends..hopefully at least one of them will have a girl!
great job!!

here is mine! i needed something to A) go over a strapless dress and B) to use up some extra yarn i had

i was a little worried about fixing it to my six but since i was using red heart i figured it would turn out a little smaller than if i had used chunky wool like the first person did, and it turned out awesomely and cant wait to wear it...its my first shirt/sweater like thing ever, ive been scared to make them up til now so maybe i will start to venture from hats scarves and afghans

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: One Skein Stirling Cloche NOW WITH PATTERN, pg. 6! on: April 16, 2007 07:43:39 PM
it makes me sad that this yarn is 20$ a skein...im just a poor student!! maybe one day i'll convince myself the investment is worth it bc rather than buying one at like nordstroms (where by the way they have these but for like 5x the price)

ok so i'll start it with what i just made...its kinda wonky but im hoping once it's sewed to other squares it'll straighten

and here is the pattern...sorry if its confusing but ive never written a pattern before so i'll do my best

Row1: ch10 join
Row2: 25 sc in circle, join
Row3: ch4, (hdc,ch2), *5hdc, ch2, hdc in same sc as last hdc,  4hdc* repeat to end, join
Row 4: ch1 *(sc, ch2, sc) in 1st ch2 sp, sc in each hdc* to end. Finish off CA
Row 5: Join CB in a ch2 sp, repeat Row 4, End CB
Row 6: Join CA with (sc, ch4, dc) in ch 2 sp, *ch1, sk1, sc, (make bobble-refer below-, ch2) 3 times, dc in ch2 sp* continue around to end. Finish CA
Row 7: Join CB in ch2 sp *(sc, ch2, sc) in sp, sc in next sc, tr in ch 1sp connecting to previous row* continue around
Row 8: ch7, *sk3 and ch4, dc, sk 3 and ch4, hdc, sk3 and ch4, sc in ch2 sp, sk3 and ch4, hdc, sk3 and ch4, dc, ch7, sc in ch2 sp, sc to next sp* once more
Row 9: 3sc, ch3, sc in same sp as last sc to make corner, *sc across to dc, 3sc, make corner* to end. finish off

so i saw this thread...http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=11948.0 and xmelinda has inspired me to start this thread. If we all made up some really awesome granny squares and put tutes and pictures we could all admire our creativity and possible make a cool afghan if enough people join.

so what do y'all say!!?
