1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / 3 outfits- blue dress, spandex, balloon dress on: March 23, 2007 06:56:49 PM
first out fit is made from this reallly cheap fabric i got, its got a ton of holes in it (hard to sew!). the gold part is a old scarf i found.
the spandex are my favorite...even though i havent had the guts to wear them in public yet. the last dress is made from this cool aberiginal (sp?) canvas material. yep, there ya go

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / PLEASE HELP ASAP photo emulsion burns on: July 10, 2006 12:38:40 PM
so today i tried to use the photo emulsion method. and look what went wrong! i dont know how though. the emulsion ended up getting all spotty. and the screen LITERALLY burned. most of the image came out except each has some parts that wont wash out. can someone help me and tell me what i did wrong? can screen filler fix this and make is useable? i used a 250 watt bulb about 10 inches away (because it wont go any higher). arrrghhh!!!

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / getting off screen filler? on: June 30, 2006 08:00:52 AM
ok so i know this is like the millionth post about getting off screen filler but i need to clarify just for my own peace of mind. a while ago i used the drawing fluid and screen filler method to make prints and when i was finished, no matter what i did i couldnt get the screen filler off. i used EVERYTHING (bleah, grease lighting,..etc). i think something i used may have actually set it in the screen...i dunno.

so lets say i got a new screen and when i finished printing i wanted to get the screen filler off so i could reuse the screen....
what should be the first thing i do to get it off?
does photo emulsion remover also remove screen filler by any chance?
help me pllllease
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / first clothing post..tell me what you think! (kinda image heavy) on: June 29, 2006 04:24:29 PM

this was a project for my ap art class. i really like it...the shorts took forever! i did the shirt and shorts from a pattern but added all the applique stuff

this one was from a pattern too except i changed it up by using the chekcered fabric instead of an all pink dress

reconstructed shirt i sold on ebay

so ive never dont the photo emulsion method but i found some images that i want to use for it. does the image have to be totally black and white? or will the light pick up greys in a picture? i put the images i want on a greyscale but i wasnt sure if i could do it without it being just black and white
thanks
