This elephant was made per my wife's request.  its made from the back side of faux fur material so its a little rough (like an elephants skin perhaps?)  2 sides sewn together with a thin strip for the underbelly and insides of the legs, with a yarn tail..

yeah the dragon is about 3 1/2- 4 feet long including the tail.  The design is pretty simple, just 2 pieces for the sillouette and one piece for the underbelly/ inside of the arms and legs.
the yetti is just 2 pieces- front and back, with a hole cut out and the head sewn in.
I thought about the neverending story connection while i was sewing- maybe thats why the idea for a dragon came up when i saw the white fur...

Yeah i used basically the same pattern for both, drew the sillouette and a thin underbelly and top.  sometimes the legs will com out at an angle but you can just put in a little stitch at the end to hold the legs where you want- thats what i did for the dog so he could stand by himself.

yeah its my own design.  the claws took a long time, i used to make pointy teeth that way- sew it inside out then its a pain in the but to try to fish it out- thats why i didnt do more spines on the dragons back

Both of these are made from some nice soft brown material scraps my grandmother had laying around
