21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Decorated bra... on: May 22, 2006 12:21:02 PM
Couldn't really decide where to put this- it's not recon clothing as it's still a bra just with decoration, I thought about putting it in the charity section but then decided to post it here- if a mod thinks it belongs elsewhere I won't complain at all!

Anyway here is my bra (and my medal) that I decorated to take part in the Playtex MoonWalk in aid of breast cancer charities.  A full report of the walk is on my blog along with other pictures.

After seeing everyone elses creations (15,000 of them) I can't wait to design one for next time (if there's a next time that is!).

22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / The 4Rs swap- that's reduce, reuse, recycle and revamp on: May 11, 2006 03:11:29 PM
Signups here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=16741029.0

See the original thread at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94250.0

I'm going to run this swap if there's enough interest with signups in the last week or so of May (as I have way too much happening until then)

Ideas generated on the other swap so far:

Hand made papers made of old tid bits, Cloth pads, Re-con clothing, etc. Hand made stationary and make a stamp for the pages.  Or a journal all hand made. Art made out of rubbish.  Cards made of collages from old newspapers/magazine/wall paper.

I know a couple of similar swaps have happened along these lines too:

Earth Day Global Recycled Swap
Thirft store purse revamp

So hopefully that's enough to interest some people?

I made this beaded flower and used a little silver butterfly for the centre...

Not sure what it will be used for yet...

Thanks to Spangle for her tutorial at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=19688.0
24  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Some new cards... for no real reason! on: May 10, 2006 08:16:34 AM
Made some new cards today using photoshop and an Inkjet printer.  They're in a completely new style for me but I thought I'd have a go...

28  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Breast Cancer walk on: April 04, 2006 05:17:52 AM
I'm taking part in a 26 mile power walk in London in May called the Moonwalk.  All participants get sent a bra to customise so I'm looking for some ideas on how to stand out from the crowd!  Grin Any one got some good ideas?  I'll pass on any I don't use to the other girls I'm walking with.

Also thinking of some other crafty ways of rasing money towards it- will probably do a series of pink postcards/greetings cards etc.  Any other ideas?

P.S more details on my blog...
29  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Stationery set on: March 22, 2006 03:25:00 AM
It's mother's day in the UK on Sunday and due to some major overspending on my part I had no money to buy anything for my Mum.  So I got together some bits and bobs and made her this stationery set.

Inside are a few cards & envelopes and some personalised note paper.

What do you think?
